Hi.. I'm biracial, mix Vietnamese and African American. I was born in Saigon 1967, along with my 3 other siblings as well. We arrived in the USA 1972, and was automatically naturalize as US Citizenship. I graduated in 1986 from high school here in America and soon after, I attended college for approximately 2 years. I joined the US Army in 1988 and retired now! My mother is 100% Vietnamese and we still have family from my mother's side of the family currently living. I have 2 uncles from my mother side of family, and several cousins as well. I just recently gotten married in Vietnam, April 24th 2022, my wife is Vietnamese. She lives in Dong Thap.. Now that I'm happily married and retired from the military, I was thinking about living in Vietnam long term, what will be your best advice to be able to live in Vietnam long term legally without risking losing my US Citizenship.. (long term for me is like staying in Vietnam 3 to 5 years in Vietnam and back in the US periodically. Please advise if you can help, thank you and looking forward 😊

Perpetuity can you guys elaborate on this term a bit more? Has things changed I have heard this before saying that now foreigners can own the condo and no lease term. So for passport holders they do not have lease terms for the other property classes shop houses, villas etc? Has things been amended Thank you team. Amazing content

Hi Ken, trust all is well. I found your videos are very helpful and informative. I left Vietnam in early 70s for Hong Kong then Canada, now I would like to retire in Vietnam and obtain my Việt Kiều status, however, for some reasons, I have changed my identity completely when I applied for my Hong Kong ID card almost 50 years ago. I still have in my custody the original ID card from the previous South Vietnamese government prior to 1975, on it, there are my finger print and picture, do you think it can be used as a proof. Why would countries such as Unites States know a Vietnamese American with dual citizenship investing properties or other assets in Vietnam? Why would Vietnam disclose property asset investments of their citizens to the other country such as United States?

Are you absolutely sure about your claim that there is a Viet Kieu tax exemption on the importation of a car to Vietnam per a 2015 Vietnamese rule/tax law? As far as I am aware, the Vietnamese Government abolished that tax exemption in 2016.

At 5:28 you said Germany does not allow dual citizenship. This is not true. Inside the EU Germany allows dual citizenship and outside the EU, if certain conditions are met, as well. E.g. mother is Vietnamese, father father is German, than the child will have both citizenships recognized by the German government

Does Vietnam have property tax?

Is Vietnam a crypto friendly country? Example, although its still okay to buy and sell spot digital assets, Canada has raised restrictions on leveraged trading on crypto derivatives. Also, (and pardon my ignorance) could you summarize how it is to run a business in a socialist country like Vietnam? Can the government take/freeze your assets if something is off, according to them?
