KangKang looked untouchable man. If he can keep this level up I dont think EDG can lose. He was putting up GENERATIONAL NUMBERS. 111 kills in 5 maps going +39 overall and getting 26 first kills is INSANE
To be fair, you can still expect less from a region if they only have 1 insane team, 1 good team (FPX) and the rest are less than average (Trace had a fluke run). A lot of NA, EMEA, and APAC teams could have done better than the other 2 Chinese teams. Super happy to see how far the China teams have come this year and I'm sure they're only going to get more competitive every year but they can still be easily seen as weaker until they have more teams show some strength.
@@Bigryguy95-epic What this proves is that China did deserve to be a major region and would only continue to grow with the same resources as others. What wasn't fair was NA/EMEA fans writing off China in their first year and claiming they'll never improve. Punching down was shameful.

Getting better as a pro team is a bell curve. As you get to the top, you improve slower. So it’s inevitable that the china teams would catch up. Especially with roster changes in other regions. I don’t know why you even bother with this comment to me because literally none of it has to do with what I said. You are just venting grievances you have with other people towards me

I’d never find time to watch APAC, EMEA, or China matches. Sure I could look at stats but that rarely shows the full picture for a team. And trace lost 4 maps and won none in playoffs. I’m not saying they’re horrible but that doesn’t look good. Sure they beat Vitality and Lev, which seems impressive, but those two teams are also incredibly inconsistent. Trace is a good team but we hardly have enough empirical evidence to support them being a top contender in the world. I am totally open and perhaps even excited to be proven wrong and more Chinese teams turn up next year to shit on other regions. That will create an even more competitive and thus exciting VCT season. They just haven’t proven to be YET

Probably one of the craziest storyline tournaments in VCT this year. The Sentinels are the Madrid winners and bring home their second international trophy. GenG are get first Pacific international trophy to Shanghai. Although the Heretics lost, second place in Shanghai and champions Seoul is no disgrace. Stax finally leaves the DRX team, Navi (formerly FPX) ends, NRG never reaches an international LAN, G2 (The Guard core) reaches highest ranking among Ascension group (7th/8th in Champions). PRX is exposed. lastly, EDG started the year in a very sluggish state, but made a full recovery and brought China its first Champions Trophy. It was a truly wonderful year.
KK now becomes the clutch king wow that is incredible. Came through when his team needed him most and broke the world kill record to win Champions. That’s actually so insane
@konosuba350 star player has nothing to do with actual impact. Entry is much easier than an Astra anchor who gets 3k each round a lone on A Abyss. He played well, but Chichoo carried hard

insane win by EDG but TH look insane, their first year in VCT, all rookies yet making to back to back grand finals and ALMOST winning both is insane, lets hope they keep up the team quality and theyll have a chance next year
They may be rookies in pro scene but some of em couldve been playing since 2020 since valorant already released in their region back then. Chances are the chinese players started later. Even if they could still play through some other methods, the game not being available in their region meant they couldn't find competitive teams to scrim as easily. Basically, everything is harder.
@@Sjjs-og4ch chinese players could still play since 2020 through vpns, the EDG players were 100000000% playing since then, Heretics literally werent pros, the EDG guys have been playing and scrimming longer than any of the heretics were regardless of whether the game was officially released in china

I can’t lie, the crowd was a huge L during random moments. They just couldn’t keep quiet during certain rounds which absolutely fked EDG on haven. Ex:the sova drone that didn’t see anything but TH util dumped after the drone for no reason bc the crowd made a shit ton of noise off the drone
Don't forget.. what the crowd sees on screen is still about 5 seconds later than what the actual players are seeing on screen. There's still a delay. Often you'll hear the players scream (after clutching) but the crowd are seeing it 5 seconds later
EDG really showed up this time! It's wild to see how much they've grown. Plus, KangKang's gameplay is just on another level! 🎮🔥 Honestly, I think this could set the stage for some epic rivalries in the future. Can't wait for the next tourney! 🙌✨
all top 4 teams has accomplished a lot this tournament its ducking amazing Th proofed that their run in shanghai was NOT a fluke and they have what it takes to be the best Sen managed to bounce back after a terrible stage 2 and almost not being able to qualify for champions (Only did so by points and lev) and showed that they are deserving of that spot Lev managed to show the world that what happened in shanghai was a fluke and they ARE championship material And finally edg has placed China on the pedestal Though people are afraid of another game being dominated by only Chinese/Korean teams (NA league fans will have ptsd from this) Given the nature of vct (4 teams from each region strictly) EVERY region has the chance to win a trophy every year. Valorant is going to grow more than ever (the chinese market is gonna go crazy) and i'll be there for the ride

Watch out wake up NA EMEA, Dang APACs PRX or GENG for many assumed to lift that first champions thropy for whole asia but let it slip and the only time apac won first international was when Geng's rival didn't qualify and the time when sen qualified apac's best teams GENG who had the highest chance to win its first APAC's champions was sent to oblivion.
