PS4 really dropped the ball for having Call of Duty at their side for the first time. This was their chance to prove that Competitive Cod belonged with PlayStation. Don't be surprised when the competitive screen goes back to Xbox in the future. Unless PS fixes the problems.

Sony has a contract with Activision for the rights for X amount of years. Plus, PS4 outsold XB1, PS4 will sell more copies of BO3 and its obvious Activision cares more about selling games and selling their rights than they do about the competitive COD scene. 1% of the people who buy COD play competitive.
It would be an historic win if OpTic came out on top at XP this year. -Obviously we'll have Karma 3 rings, 3 world champ wins with 3 different teams. -Crimsix will be a double world champ. -Formal who came from Halo and took the COD scene by storm and is now one of the best in the game at the minute deserves a ring - And Scump, the King who is arguably the best player to ever play competitive COD deserves a ring more than anybody in my opinion. Here's to hoping the boys pound at XP and bring it home for the Greenwall.

Sony needs to come with a software update puts ps4 into tournament mode for lan events that fixes all the issues. Or come out with wired controllers. simple as that.

Then the next Tear Fariko Impact won Cod Xp/champs. then the original compLexity took over and won tourny after tourny. then they were bought out by Evil Genious. Who then went on to win Cod Champs with Ghosts. Relatively after this they released all members of the team. Also Optic Gaming won the X games with tk coming in second. then the god squad was assembled for aw. they won pretty much every tourny after cod champs. Denial won cod Champs.

Sony put in the bid to have PS4 as the main console for CoD, and they were successful. Now there are problems with it and Sony aren't doing anything about it.
i don't judge for not doing research befire commenting, but i can tell you that the controller isn't the problem. it's an software issue from the ps4. the ps4 controller works if you plug it into a pc via usb, which prooves that the controller is capable of being a "wired controller"... but the ps4 isn't capable to "accept" the wired connection. (also: sry if there are grammar mistakes, english isn't my motherlanguage)
PlayStation should have wired controllers imo especially when you are competing for such a large prize pool. Return to Xbox and have none of these problems.

Nobody is doubting that but lets not assume that XBOX didnt have its fair share of trouble as many people make it out to be. Consoles are unreliable at pro events no matter what brand.
Isho GT yes in the past, but speaking from experience, iv'e personally never had an issue with my xb1, nor have i seen anybody online talking about hot unreliable they are, may be just my opinion, but XB1 is more reliable than PS4 at this moment in time
Alex Ellis Well that would only be comparable if both were tested properly in esports environment. I've also never heard of someone get any problems with their PS4's, but that doesnt mean it wont happen, specially during a LAN event. Same could be said for an XB1.

LOLOL Someone is salty! I love mine! I got mine specifically so that I can use my Xbox One controller on Xbox 360. And for those who don't quite know what this thing is, it is a device that takes an Input and modifies the output. You can program this thing to do pretty much anything but it is limited to the amount of storage on the device which isn't much. So NO you can not TAS your way through a whole game. A specific level? Maybe..... if it is a tiny level. What the programming aspect is more meant for is creating button combos. One thing though is it does not have to modify the output though. That is what the tournament mode is that he is talking about. Tournament mode restricts the device to direct input only! Although I haven't tried it but you might be able to use Tournament mode and use a converted input. What I mean by that is it allows you to use a Xbox One controller on PS4 but still disables the custom gamepacks and scripts. Anyways if someone has a question just ask and I will try my best to answer it. If I don't know then sorry, I don't know haha.
The Cronus seems like the best solution but it sucks ass. I think when it gets to 16 teams remaining they should be played 1 match at a time on main stage without the cronus. Make sure fans and everyone are far as shit from the booths. Start the tournament a day early or something if they are worried about time
Yeah but all the pros leading up to the tourney are playing with this and getting used to if they just switch back in the middle of the tournament it's gonna feel weird
Sounds ideal for competitors but not for the fans or the event holders. By not good for the fans I mean that a long tournament with single matches for several days would lose viewership especially on non-OG days. The event holders have to pay people to operate cameras, lights, security, technical support, the VENUE, etc. One full extra day of that would cost a huge load of money, all for a small benefit to the competitors. Competition needs to be on point, they need to develop a solution, but there's no way they're going to extend the event for it. CoD esports isn't big enough for that.
Everyone here making out like the PS4 is the worst console on earth. It literally beats the XB1 in every category possible. This is the only problem that reduces the ability to have large amounts of people within the 1 Area on LAN. Sony im sure will have this problem fixed by the Time IW starts and it'll be all sweet. smh

Everyone blaming Sony for this needs to understand that PS4 wasn't built to be a competitive console. It was built to be a comfort home console in which you would perform casual gaming. Now, the contract that Sony has with Activision becomes an issue because Activision signed that contract due to a business perspective since Ps4 is the more popular of the two consoles (idc which you prefer it's just based on sales). The only issue with Sony is that need to release a wired, non-bluetooth controller for competitive gamer's (which in my eyes is a great business decision).
The only problem with having the players have choice w/ the Chronus is if one person doesn't wanna use it, nobody else playing the game can use it because the one person not using it against players using it, will have an advantage

I think he meant how, server to server, your sensitivity seems to change. Sometimes you are dragging your reticule through mud, other times it is crispy as LAN.
Its literally sony's only problem. I'm not sure what your 'other' reasons are, but several pros have said they like the PS4 better. I swapped from XB to PS4 this year, and i have to agree. Ps4 > XB1 this generation imo. Where as before it was 360>ps3
DesmonAU but not having competitive lans is hurting the scene. Sony needs to take things more seriously to be kept around. Also pushing an update during a major tournament could definitely be considered an issue.
what people arent understanding is that you can still use the cronis on the XB1. going back to xbox wont solve the fact that you can basically cheat with the modding tool

I'm sure this has been asked before, but why can Sony not just patch the ps4 to give a disable option for the Bluetooth? So that you can just plug and play with the controller wired?
The pros wouldnt wanna switch to xbox controllers this late in the game. Would throw them off. This situation is completely unacceptable and unfair to the competitors. You can't have them play a game all year, then at the biggest event of the year they have to play with lag. Even if EVERYONE has the same lag it's not fair to throw these guys off their groove, mess with their muscle memory which is so important for esports. People will under perform because they arn't in their comfort zone. It's rediculas and it's clear that money is the only factor to Sony and the folks running cod events. Obviously money is far more important than fixing a huge problem So here is the solution. Have someone high up in Activision ask Sony to make you pros some wired non blue tooth controllers just for the event as a way of remedying this issue which is clearly Sony's fault. They should pay to have a couple new controller made. How hard could that be? Heck I bet the pros would even pay for their own wired controllers if they had to
sounds like a submask net that makes the controller go through a port basically slowing down your connection but at the same time making it more secure.. you can do this on the ps4 already if im not mistaken lul but it sounds a lot like it plays as if you're on a wifi connection. edit-nice video!
I used to have a lot of Bluetooth lag also on my ps4 scuf and tried moving anything with a wireless signal away from my ps4 but after unplugging my mic from the audio jack in the controller i had no controller lag ever again and just used a wireless mic instead of plugging anything into my controller regarding audio. Hope this helps some people!

+og b let me give you a little info son last year Xbox was the consule for all pros and it didn't have problems. PS4/Sony their shitty controllers effect away the game is played if Xbox was still the main platform we wouldn't have to worry about Bluetooth.
I think the players should decide if you want to use it or not. If you do there can be spectators at the station but if not there should be no spectators so there is less chance for lag.

The only and best solution is for Sony/Playstation to release either a fully wired controller, or an update, for e.g. When I plug in my charging wire to the PS4 controller, the controller turns into a wired controller just like the Xbox one.

I use this device and have been for a few months now to use my Xbox One Scuf Controller on PS4. I'm a long time Xbox fan who bought a PS4 a few months back and the best thing from Xbox is the controllers. This is a great device for using different controllers on different consoles.
If all this is because of wireless controllers, then what is the problem with plugging them in? Does input lag still exist since it's technically not a wired controller?
Is it impossible for playstation to find a way to turn off blue tooth? I am not really sure why that wasn't an option in the first place. If you have a controller plugged in it should automatically override the blue tooth in my opinion.
It's sad with E Sports blowing up lately this seems like a real setback. I'm just a pub COD player that enjoys the competition. Fair competition that is. I enjoy watching Optic and other pros compete at such a high level especially on LAN where it should be a level playing field. I'm a little confused as to why this device is really needed. I would think manufactures like Scuf, Cinch, and Battle Beavers could make controllers without Bluetooth or with the ability to disable. Then every player could just plug into their PS for a direct connection without outside interference. If it's the PS console with the issue, provide consoles with Bluetooth disabled for competition. Maybe I don't understand the problem or maybe I'm just way off all together. Being a person that loves competitive COD, any mods to the game outside of using approved controllers pisses me off. This issue only hurts the integrity of competitive E Sports. Hopefully it gets resolved soon. If I'm wrong with my ideas someone please explain where and why. Good luck at Champs Karma. GREENWALL.
I would buy some different controllers to see if there is a better outcome. If they all have the issue then playing with the cronos till champs is your only option.
enclose or surround your ps4 with some type of insulation (blanket/ pillow even better would be a box made of wood) Them put you controller as close to the ps4 as possible. while it being wired. Then make your ps4 Bluetooth require a code
Mlg should just make gaming booth(sound proof) with more space between players so this issue can be fix. I mean player don't need to be 1 feet away from each other, instead they can be 4 or 5 feet away and that way their PlayStation won't pick on other controllers in the middle of the game.
How about the fact that you can use to use your PS3/4 controller on XB1 (and visa versa), XB360 controllers on XB1 or PS3/4, keyboards on consoles, etc. I've never used it for the mods because I'm not risking a ban because of that.
Slow turn/uncontrollable fast turn is a part of BO3. It isn't the bluetooth nor the ps4. This never happened in AW on ps4. I don't go to LAN's and it happens to me at home. BO3 has two sensitivities. First time I've played with them in a CoD and this happens. BO3 has crashed my ps4 since the beta. My ps4 doesn't even record my BO3 gameplay from the last 10mins unless I make it record.
I hope if ps4 does not change that we go back to xbox one. The slim is out and the controller works the pros weigh out the cons because of the blutooth issue now.
to be honest the only solutions to this are either Sony removes the Bluetooth and makes it so the controllers are actually wired or competitive COD goes back to Xbox.

But on the real, couldn't Scuf have easily gotten the drop on creating a wired controller specifically for events like these? It seems like it would be worth initial r&d costs. Cronismax in standard mode you can put on mods the rapid fire mod is terrible the anti recoil is cool and u can put the jitter on for shotguns but in tournament mode no hacks are on but karma you need to go back into the settings and keep in frame in and 1ms on helps a ton
