Exploring small trout streams not only sharpens your water-reading skills but also deepens your understanding of where fish like to lie. Immersed in nature, you encounter frustrating moments-like your fly getting caught in bushes or branches, spooking that "really big fish," and repeatedly casting in a spot that seems perfect but yields nothing. Yet, the thrill of each successful take and the beauty of the native wild brownies you do catch make it all worthwhile. This particular stream, at the foot of the Low Tatra Mountains in Slovakia, is home to some of these stunning fish, and I managed to net a few in this video. Filmed with Rayban Meta glasses, the quality is lower and battery life limited, offering just a glimpse, but you'll get the idea. I'm using a @hanakcompetition5779 10.6ft #3 Czech nymph rod with size 14, 16, and 18 beaded nymphs (PT and @Pusik9 Roza’s Pink Mouse).
