Join me if you will into the Colorado high country for some Crystal prospecting and wilderness adventures. On this outing I spent three days scouting an area around Elk Springs. As always, It was nice to get out and explore new grounds. It wasn't an overly hard trip, it only took a couple of hours to pack in the first day, and then maybe another 2 hours headed up the hill on the second day. But it was pretty much up hill all the way. I found lots of surface finds, "Crystals just laying on top of the ground." That is a good indicator that not many people have been to this area. It was a very pleasant 3 day trip in some wild country and I look forward to doing it again soon.
