Paco may as well had Annihilator, having Haste makes him TOO good, i'm surprised not everyone is playing him and instead play Kenrith or Golos when Paco literally strips opponents of their cards, and sometimes important ones. Exiled Creatures stay exiled.

@@MageSkeleton Kenrith and golos are all 5 colors, so they give you access to more cards and are more flexible. Kenrith is always gonna be one of the better commanders full stop.

Im surprised that Pako survived and single handedly closed the game. But im even more surprised that the Mardu and Jund decks failed to deliver on those removals.

It's honestly not that bad. This is our regular playgroup, and when I break out Pako folks know to keep cards he exiles in a different pile. It's more on me to keep track of what others have exiled, than it is on them.

As the Pako-player, keeping track is part of the deal. But as an opponent, looking at a boardstate with some flipped Magic cards: I guess that can get confusing. Not that much in this game though, but you never know where it's going beforehand eh.

You Know I really mean it when I say That whenever I have a crap morning, Muddstah releases a new video. The question I asked myself today was "would you rather have fantastic morning and no Generic goblin Noise or An awful morning with Generic goblin noise?" Yeah... not going lethal at Adam when you had the chance cost you everything. :/ I would've probably gone after him immediately, over the simple fact that I don't like my cards being used against me, not to mention the ever-growing good boi who is fetching Adam 3-4 additional cards every turn/swing.

Love Licia! I remember looking at Omar's decklist when I built mine well over a year ago. I opted for more of the big lifegain swing turns with like Tainted Sigil rather than Soul Warden effects.

He and Xyris tend to every game so I just target them in the game if they play. Also I built a mono u haldon deck to have an actually fun version for other people to see.

@@oscher88 yeah I’ve seen some of the stuff it can do in a previous vid. She makes for a really sweet deck, I feel like she was just overshadowed by Edgar Markov in their precon so she unfortunately didn’t get much attention

As someone who plays against a Pako deck almost regularly, it is a kill on sight commander. When I saw that you allowed him to live, I knew that the game was done.

In my playgroups paco is out turn 2-3 and wins turn 5-6 if one of the three other people at the table didn't keep a hand with removal same for Xyris.

@@kingfuzzy2 it’s definitely a commander that is a problem if not dealt with, but at the same time, the deck is basically dead weight without Pako attacking so it’s fairly easy to shut down luckily

@@kingfuzzy2 I'm not sure what your list looks like, so total assumption on my part here: but you know that you can't use Haldan to cast just any card from exile, right? He can only cast cards with fetch counters on them.

Yea I would have killed Adam right off the bat, because Pakko gets big real fast. The crackback probably wouldn't have been too bad compared to dealing with that pakko deck that gets 4 combat phases per turn 😳

Pako is such a relentless commander which gets so scary so fast, even without all the value it generates. If I ever see one in a game on future, I will surely go after Pako player first.

I'm here for Licia. I liked her from the moment I saw her during spoiler season. I knew Licia would be my next Commander and I'm still playing with the deck. But I find it difficult to build a deck around her.

How would you haved used Prossh and/or the Kobold to take out Adam out early?

If I had sacrificed enough tokens to pump Prossh before the Xenagos buff, when I resolved the Xenagos trigger as I moved to combat, Prossh would have been big enough to one shot Adam. Prossh has 5 power and can gain +6/0 if I sacrifice all the tokens. Xenagos would then give him +11/11 until end of turn, which would have dealt 22 commander damage in one swing.

Imagine game is old but with the new cascade rule, if the spell is countered the cascade doesnt happen. Just an FYI for future cases

Not quite. The changes to cascade were made mostly to stop people cheating in the more expensive side of the MDFCs (casting Violent Outburst, hitting Valki and putting Tibalt into play instead for instance) and the adventure cards. When you cast a card with cascade (Maelstrom Wanderer), those triggers go on the stack immediately, countering the original source of those triggers doesn't remove them from the stack.

@@adameister5883 I might be miss reading the new rule but here it is: 702.84a. Cascade is a triggered ability that functions only while the spell with cascade is on the stack. "Cascade" means "When you cast this spell, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card whose converted mana cost is less than this spell's converted mana cost. You may cast that spell without paying its mana cost if its converted mana cost is less than this spell's converted mana cost. Then put all cards exiled this way that weren't cast on the bottom of your library in a random order."

@@Brainstorm_brews If the original spell leaves the stack before the cascade trigger resolves, the trigger will still resolve and use its last known information to determine the CMC. 608.2h. If an effect requires information from the game (such as the number of creatures on the battlefield), the answer is determined only once, when the effect is applied. If the effect requires information from a specific object, including the source of the ability itself, the effect uses the current information of that object if it's in the public zone it was expected to be in; if it's no longer in that zone, or if the effect has moved it from a public zone to a hidden zone, the effect uses the object's last known information. See rule 113.7a. If an ability states that an object does something, it's the object as it exists--or as it most recently existed--that does it, not the ability.

I kinda get not wanting to kill someone because it's kinda early, but tbh i don't think you would've been in a lot of danger from the other two, maybe like 10 damage or so, doubt both would've swung, but even then you could have grinded that one out, your diabolic intent wouldn't have been countered, you could've tutored for a boardwipe by sacrificing proshh, then recast with xenagos still out on the next turn and killed another opponent, and yeah would've been an easy game for you tbh

Also that seems like more work for the editor, especially since they don't even have hand size trackers. It would probably be easier to just not play thief decks.

I think Adam kinda misplayed it by not shrinking Pako when he took opponents out. With them gone the cards in exile are gone too

Pako gets counters as his attack ability resolves. If Pako was worded something like "~ gets +1/+1 for each card in exile with a fetch counter" you'd be spot on.
