Billions of people come from a broken home and don’t turn out like this. Almost everyone I know comes from divorced parents and not one is an addict or on the streets. They’re all well educated, have stable jobs, are great parents, etc. I always say it’s better to come from a broken home than to live in one. It all depends on how children are raised and what they’re taught. I raised my two kids on my own and I couldn’t be more proud of them. They were my main priority, are loved more than I ever thought possible, they’re both successful, great parents, don’t do drugs, own their own homes, are incredible parents, travel, work hard, treat people well, have good morals and manners, etc. They’re better people than some I’ve seen with two parents.
I just want to add something real quick from your first statement. I agree with you 100% though. You do NOT need to be rich to have children. Money does not make kids happy, love and attention make kids happy.. I don't remember a single item my aunt bought me growing up but I do remember the time and love she gave me. I don't remember expensive trips or toys, I remember her being there and loving on me. Many of ppl commenting don't have a real understanding of what it's like to be on the streets. I applaud this series for giving a glimpse of lifestyles very difficult and different than what we've lived. Having the support of a family is something many don't fully appreciate. What slows some people down is health issues, which often come with age. That’s true, in any walk of life, but physical occupations can be more difficult to persevere in, overall.
