Hearing loss can seriously affect your lifestyle. Watch this hearing loss prevention video to find out how workplace noise can damage your ears and what you can do to prevent noise-induced hearing loss.
In this video, we see examples of hazardous noise levels faced by bartenders and other workers in the hospitality industry. We also see examples of noise exposure levels and noise exposure limits, and the time it takes to experience noise-induced hearing loss from a variety of different noises.
Noise-induced hearing loss is permanent but preventable. When hazardous noise cannot be reduced by other means, employers are responsible for providing appropriate hearing protection, such as earplugs or earmuffs. Always wear hearing protection while working in a loud environment, whether in hospitality, construction, or any environment where you’re exposed to loud or continuous noise.
Please note that various noisy workplaces are shown in this video. While forklifts in sawmills and manufacturing plants can exceed safe noise levels, those in warehouses often measure below 85 dBA Lex.

I used to be a bouncer. You literally hear conversations better when wearing earplugs in loud bars/clubs.

I wish there was a push for hearing protection when I was a young man. Now I have constant ringing in my ears and always ask people to repeat themselves.

Hearing loss is like field of grass, you can walk on top of it but the damage is not immediately visible but in time the path will be visible. Because the damage is gradual and subtle.

Good show, for someone with tinnitus, perhaps you can think about ..That when you produce videos where you add noise like music when speaking, why ? I already have that in my head. Then two sounds disrupt your words. although my reading has gotten better. Also, I watch to be informed not entertained.
