to observe the changes and report on problems ( polution , envasive species ect.. ) we can really do something about is good. trying to stop natures changes , manmade or not, is a waste of time and money - period.

Pretty much. And now those red states north of Fl are going to have to take on millions of the most fervent right-wingers in the US and admit that they are doing exactly what south Americans are doing; escaping the effects of anthropogenic climate change, vis a vis, the consequences of flying the flag so hard for fossil fuel companies. Those climate refugees will find out pretty quickly what the oil-grubbing GOP really think of them.
