Back when I began reading, I used to read at parties. Back then it was kind of way for me to fit in at parties, which I don't usually enjoy, so it worked for me in two ways. Very soon I was being invited to parties not because the hosts liked me particularly, they just liked the way that a reader keeps the party alive and helps to prevent those awkward silences. The weirdest reading I ever did at a party was through a toilet door, where my client was having a breakdown and needed to know she had a future before she would come out. As you say Vincent, you do meet some wonderful, interesting people. :-)
Definitely, professional distance is recommended. Great insights and advice. For a while I had a resume writing business out of my house, and it is awkward having clients in your home. Also I think my neighbors thought I was dealing drugs here with all the cars coming and going! LOL I have found the metaphysical bookstores near me (not that many) are already full up with readers, so I will look into some of the area coffee houses. Thanks for the great ideas.
Good advice. Not safe to have people in the home. The library also has some small tables to meet someone. Good to keep your distance from the social angle-helps with objectivity.
I couldn't agree with you more on all of this. Reading at home is a definite no. I've read at Panera's several times. It was always good there. And keeping people at a comfortable distance is wise. I don't mind an occasional free reading for dear friends or family, but that can backfire. If you read for one friend for free, they tell their friend and another person, and on it goes. They all expect free readings! That gets old in a hurry. I learned that the hard way. 😕 Also, those "I need a reading right now..." No way! I had two different people call me needing an immediate reading. I didn't know either one of these people. They were total strangers, so no, I don't do that, either. Most people are very nice as a general rule, but once in a while you can come across dilemmas you don't need. Thank you for such a wonderful video, Vince.
You have hit the nail on the head in all the aspects of tarot reading in my experience, one of the things I did was accept clients that was recommended by someone,as a means of have a bit of control, over who I come in contact with,I even made a side room as to not have ppl enter the home, there are a lot to consider, one is crime, ect ,I only operate by recommendations, great video 👏👏💯
I really enjoy your RU-vid presentation’s. I have a quick question. I am having trouble identifying the difference between a Page and an Ace? What say you?
