Another look at the Protee VX launch monitor to see how it’s maturing.
In this video we focus on the club metrics and specifically the impact spot measured with A.I. There has been debate in regards to how the VX performs without the need for stickers on balls or clubs. Judge for yourself!
Ball Data Measured: Ball Speed, Total Spin, Spin Axis, Back Spin, Side Spin, Launch Direction, Launch Angle.

I believe that after reviewing this video the conclusion seems to point to the fact that the impact spot detection is very good overall with the irons showing great results while the Hybrid and Driver showed a bit more bias where the vertical orientation is concerned.
I explain in the video that as the software is refined further, ProTee's database of clubs and associated physical dimensions plus actual rendering will be refined and the face impact location height relationship will better reflect the club's true physical heights in the image they use. An important point is also made whereby the location detection may seem high at times because a club may have sunken into the turf causing the overall height to change in relation to the ball sitting on the turf at impact.
