Any foreign student should have their student visas revoked and escorted out of the USA. In addition, they should be refused admittance to return to the USA to study. That said foreign students have 1st amendment rights in the USA.

Protest should be peaceful - not harmful / offensive with bashing / clashing of other groups and definitely no destruction / defacing of property, disrespect to staff / faculty or other students, and not creating a sense of fear to everyone on campuses attending classes. Keyword is peaceful - not chaotic, out of control and fearful. I’ve seen protest for this cause in my neighborhood and city first hand - and they are quite chaotic and give a great sense of fear and unease.

Who are the Palestinians ? What do they stand for? Who is HAMAS and what do they stand for? Though there are a lot of 'so called' innocents in GAZA, who are basically held hostage by HAMAS, the vast majority are sympathetic to the ideology of HAMAS... Though (before) many Palestinians do not wish to eliminate the Jewish people by death, they feel the Jewish people have no right to be in the land and should vacate or be removed... Having interviewed a number of ( ~ 147) Islamics at VT over the previous 41 years since I graduated...Many seem very nice on the surface and many actually are. However, just as many feel the Jewish have no place in the presence of Islam and should not be at VPI It's a very deep seeded disposition...Even my next door neighbor, a very kind and generous Professor from Turkey explained to me as follows: People of all walks must come to the way of Islam or they cannot 'be' ....I asked him to explain a little better and he said " they will be given the opportunity to convert, otherwise they must perish. It is not 'my' way but it is the way of Islam and therefore must be carried out..

Let's hope it doesn't get as violent as it did over 15 years ago.

I am a student at Virginia Tech. The protests were completely peaceful for three days. Families even borough their children and were blowing bubbles. It only got “intense” when the President ordered the mass arrests of his own students

at U Buffalo 15 were arrested, only 5 were students

Protesters need better odds. If you have 25 people for every cop, you won't have to worry about the cops. After the Rodney King trial LAPD went out to disperse the crowd. When they saw the size of the crowd? The cops left.
