At my work I got attacked the second week I started metaphorically speaking when people found out I’m a Christian I’ve been told don’t let anyone find out who’s coming into our place of work because the cats might be upset that you were Christian don’t tell anybody about being Christian. I wish they would take this same energy and march against child abuse in the catholic church. As a survivor of this type of abuse, it makes my blood boil that no catholic came to help me. No one punished the priest but just transferred him. I know I am not alone but I wish that these people would actually fight for survivors like me.
I'm sorry that you experienced this abuse. I will say I know of 3 priests at churches I go to mass often. They were found guilty of sexual abuse & all 3 were relieved of their duties.
