This was definitely posted only for my amusement. Considering it was uploaded 20min ago and I'm the 1st comment AND I manually searched for "protomartyr interview 2023". Pretty sweet. All of the singles have been 🔥 SO STOKED FOR THE RELEASE!
Great, insightful interview with these guys. Been a big fan for years now, and great to hear them shine some light on the inspiration behind the new tracks❤
The interviewer is good but he has no idea who the band is, as he admits at the start. No questions about their other albums and why the previous (UST) drops off a cliff song writing wise. It's an album of theirs I've never been able to get through. I'm very familiar with their catalog but not a huge fan of the last one other than the first four ... I would have asked about their videos and how do they pick their directors? What they have is good as a band but I wonder why they seem so miffed when their sound is not for mass consumption. I look at them as a very successful band - If they had huge success, they'd be rich but they'd suck and they wouldn't seem as genuine as they are. *That dude needs to stop playing with his hair. I guess he's afraid he'll be bald like Joe.* Vanity is so off-putting. I don't think I'll listen to anymore 'Protomartyr' interviews. They're the sort of band that should refuse but that's the game.
@@JaredAfrica The album is a HUGE disappointment. They need to add some spice and lose the sadness. Nothing wild about an opinion. Just dumb responses.
