Here's the unboxing and my first impression of this full size, iconic Ghostbusters prop. Is it worth the $259 price tag, should you make you're own, let's see. This is an honest review, I paid for this prop with my own money.

I’m going to get mine tomorrow, from this video I can tell it’s worth it, it just sucks how after you stop the proton stream, it’s just an Insta stop instead of a power down sound. 6:48

Personally I would upgrade the speaker, add a few lights as per the movies. Add a weighted motor and make the wand vibrate a little when you push the switch.

tons of great 3D printed mods available to upgrade that pack because the original smaller pack mods were easy to scale up to work on the full size pack. I would definitely put it on an ALICE frame, those straps are not great for sure.

Upside down sticker on the wand is screen accurate to the Venkman wand.

I got one so I didn't have to upgrade the Spengler pack. I have plans for this, including some printed parts and electronics, maybe an Arduino board and speakers. I got mine for 237, and I consider it worth it looking at the price for just a shell...

Yikes, I think the reason it's rattling is that when you lifted it up, the wand fell and broke on ya. It's not supposed to be that loose either. Since you're modding it, sounds like an easy fix though, and I'm glad the electronics were still intact.

I got mine a while ago I definitely replaced the wand with the afterlife wand and the proton pack is in a remodeling state as of now 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

my biggest letdown on this pack is the on/off. once you let go of the of the button the stream fx insta stop, no power down sound. i like how you edited the video to manipulate the power down sound when you release the button hahahaha.

The button is tricky for sure. Not sure why they didn't just the sound stay on like the Spengler wand...

I have a Matty Collector thrower that I'll be incorporating into my pack. I'll take the thrower that was included and include it with the vacuformed ABS plastic shell that I have from like 7 years ago and probably sell it.

I never got to buy one and spirit halloween has no option to check stock for products which is bullshit and its almost Halloween and I STILL CANT HAVE ONE???? guess I'm buying the cheap deluxe pack..

In fact, I have that but it's not a proton pack, it's a vacuum cleaner that is used like a backpack but also works for ghost hunting. you know, Luigi's mansion 😅

I ended up having to get the smaller one because it was cheaper trust me it's not worth the 89.99 the straps are great and they work great I don't know which pack I like better the Spengler proton pack from has labs or the full sized pack from spirit Halloween

The Spirit Halloween is about 1/2 the price of the Spengler Pack if you can find one on the secondary market.

Do not order from Spirt. I ordered one on 8-6-23 and a week later had to call to even get the order processed. The charged me and created a shipping label, but 3 more days later Fedex does not have the package and when I called again they couldn’t tell me what is going on and that I could call back in 2 more business days if it doesn’t start tracking. I’m afraid I’m going to end up having to dispute the charge with my bank. Even if I eventually get mine I will NEVER purchase from Spirit again. Buyer beware!

@@MakeItorBreakItNow After the THIRD call they finally acknowledged that the order never shipped, but by that point the packs were all sold out so they could only refund my money….which they also screwed up, they did not refund the total amount. I’m going to have to call them a 4th time. Anyone that orders in future restocks good luck…I won’t be one of them.

That's even worse than my experience. I ordered mine back in June or July. They said they shipped it but it arrived two weeks late, looking like someone chunked it out a plane. It required some cosmetic maintenance. However, I have bought other items from Spirit with no problems. I guess some times they are better than others

@@tomvontrottSounds like an underestimation of how many packs they had in stock, which is typical for these kinds of products. I was one of the first people to get the new 1984 Hasbro wand before they sold out within hours.
