Is this how South Park Studios changes the voices of their characters? I remember in an interview with Trey Parker, he mentioned something about semitones.
I put it on polyphonic and selected the clip. When i right clicked and selected Elastic properties, it says no elastic audio clips selected! What am i doing wrong
I myself have never attempted to change the key. I haven’t had to or attempted to experiment so I can’t answer your question right now unfortunately. I want to be honest and true. BUT I will do some research and find out and reach back out to you with an answer👍🏻.
One question how cpu hungry is this method meaning if i transposed an instrumental for a singer in this way, would they be able to sing over it without crazy latency. Thats why ive audio suited pitch shifting to the region itself so it doesnt have to do the processing in real time while someone is trying to track vocals. Thsnks for the tip!
Thats a great question. I hadn't considered how this would affect the CPU usage, but we can surely check. In the menus go to "WINDOW" and all the way at the bottom you'll see "SYSTEM USAGE", select it. In applying this technique I saw only a 1% increase in my usage. I'd love to hear what percentage increase you see when applying this technique, let me know!
So like I gave 2 track stem to my singer "Key of D" and he pitched that down -38 cents and then sang his vocals. He claims it became the Key of C which it did not but it also slowed down the tempo. HIs vocal takes are good and I want to use them, how do I adjust my session to match the tuning and timing of his vocals? I still have tower to do on the song / session as well. The other concern is that the song will be in non standard tuning.
Hi Zio, sorry for the delay in the response. In my personal experience I’ve never had that happen to me. Let me do a little research and explore the options. So his method of pitching it down also slowed down the track correct? One thing you could try is to manually try and match it using the “Time Compression Expansion” on your stems. It will be rather difficult to perfectly match the timing.
Hi Snackcrackers8! Make sure the audio clip you are trying to pitch is selected and highlighted. Once you select it and it’s highlighted you can right click on it and choose elastic properties. Does this help? Let me know, we’ll figure it out👍🏻
@@DezaviProductions I made sure I clicked on the clip, how do I highlight it? If it's going on the top and draggin the line over the clip then yea I did that to and no luck, thank you for reaching out to me though!
Thanks for watching, the song is called “Sunday” by Trenelius but I don’t think he ever released it for some reason. Let me check and I’ll get back to you. If it’s not released, I’ll talk him into it 😅lol. Thanks for watching, I’ll get back to you! Subscribe ✅
Hi, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Have you been able to do this since you commented? I’ve been very busy the past year and I’m getting back into doing RU-vid videos on a more consistent basis starting next month. My apologies!
Hi! I’ll make a video in the future covering instruments. I’ve been extremely busy the last year or so. I’ll be making RU-vid videos on a consistent basis again starting next month. My apologies!
