I keep seeing this everywhere when people say such a shame Activision killed this series but in actuality they didn't kill it because the first Prototype game itself didn't do all that well and I like both games so how did Activision kill it series it seems pointless people just didn't want to buy either game.

The nostalgia is hitting me harder than anything ever did. This right here reminds me of the time when a little gamer was born inside me. I absolutely loved the first part and the second one made it even better. Everything was a masterpiece in it. ಥ‿ಥ
@@БогданКрименюк I'm not really the type to go through an overall pros/cons of a game and it's sequels, i just really look for what the game really provides me. I only noticed why the 2nd part was bad when i read about the storyline properly. Sure i was also kinda surprised and saddened to see my favourite character turned into a protagonist in it but i still enjoyed the graphics, similarity and extra abilities that's all i ever wanted. That's why for me the 2nd part was also great and better than the original game
@@purrl0ckh0lmesI actually liked Alex mercer being a villain in the second game but they didn't tell us why he turned evil so I guess that criticism is far. Turning him into a villain was a ballsy move by the devs which most developers nowadays don't do. Him being turned into a villain was actually what got me excited to play the second one.
Damn, who would have thought that Alex Mercer is such a powerhouse! Dude is so powerful, he could give The Seven (The Boys) a shit ton of trouble or even fight the Greater Korean Republic's military (Homefront) lol.
It's a FPS game where North Korea united with the south, becoming the Greater Korean Republic, becomes a superpower, and proceeds to invade the entire southeast Asia before invading America, occupying it. Characters in the game must liberate the country by killing a bunch of communist Koreans.
Yeah, had lots of fun playing Prototype. Didn't like much how they followed the story with Alex being the "villain" all of a sudden, but the game still looks awesome
Such a great game. Loved the first one and the second made everything even better. Really made you feel like some unstoppable god. Wanted a third one where you could get a pair of wings haha
Second wasn't good. It removed a lot of good features. I imagine that if it existed a Prototype 3 it would have skill tree instead of actual combos and powers.
I always liked the blade compared to the claws. Claws are fast and can pounce, but the blade was the cover power. Plus, it's more powerful and the spin attack is deadly against any target.
Or maybe because of its hold attack where you can clear more targets easily with the Blade Tornado My partner for the Blade weapon is either Hammerfists or Tendrils
One of the many things I liked about this game is that you can charge your jump before you reach the ground. So you can charge it as much or as little as you want depending on where you’re going. It seems unreliable but it always works, I always landed exactly where I wanted to land

If Alex Mercer was a lightsaber duelist and had his body be a living lightsaber with all those abilities he would be absolutely fucking Busted making all 7 lightsaber forms obsolete
Prototype 2’s biggest mistake was making Alex the villain. Unless you read the tie-in comic (which I’m sure almost nobody did), Alex’s face-heel turn just comes out of nowhere. The idea of a sentient world-ending supervirus becoming its own identity and going down the path of an anti-hero (or anti-villain depending how you look at it) while struggling in its belief in humanity is infinitely more compelling than Heller’s “muh family, I must avenge” angle.
Is it because he's black? Alex didnt care about his sister dana beyond how much he could use her, even released the virus not even a street away feom where she was. Those guards he ate cared more about his sister then he did. And blacklifht was a virus specially made to target minorities but off-course you'll look away after hearing that because you cant handle the person you lust at to not be perfect.
my biggest gaming-wise wish is, Insomniac reviving this series with a new game or a reboot/remake kinda thingy. Seeing players use symbiote powers in new marvel's spider-man is giving me huge nostalgia. I think if a new Prototype game will come, Insomniac can make wonders.
Everyone loves prototype 1 for the story I don't blame them but prototype 1 definitely didn't have more powers I'm confused on that it was the same set James has everything Alex had just upgraded also the skins are amazing in part 2 🌹❤️🌹
Alex was only transformed for about a month or so as it the game start when he wakes up so he wasn't familiar at all with his abilities unlike Heller who hid for months once he was turned and had other progenitor to learn from. Alex however is smarter and has deadlier sense of chaos with his stealth consume,artillery strikes and pansy which he used to infiltrate and disrupt entire bases without ever been detected. Heller walks in and causes an immediate bloodbath. It's best represented in their designations as Zeus and Hades, a conniving bastard and an untethered conquerer
Prototype 1 definitely has more usable powers, an actual shield, agile armor, musclemass, thermal vision, infected vision, pantsy and artillery strike. Most of these powers have their own unique animation if you held down the corresponding button. but as for the miscellaneous powers like resistance to regular bullets and etc, I'll agree.

Found 2 new weapon's concept artworks such as the Spike Fist & Mace Fist 😲.
I remember I played this for the first time back in 2011 or 2012 before played the first one and Assassin's Creed Franchise, this game got me really excited back then.
This may be a stupid question but who will win in battle (Delsin Rowe Infamous game) or (Alex Mercer Prototype 2) and you can find a video that TK Rebirth made about what is (Delsin Rowe Infamous superpowers).
Infamous is supposed to be what prototype is, but didn't get the charm right iirc. However the prototype is simply limitless, evolving constantly without end and considering it can adapt to other vaccines and even learn quickly at such a rapidly pace.
@@Fallout4277 Wouldn't matter considering how blacklight Alex Mercer can pretty much break apart all organic matter within seconds of making contact, something Delsin/Cole wouldn't have any knowledge of until it's too late. I don't believe being a conduit is significant enough of a difference to change how the virus would affect their physiology in comparison to a normal person. The Beast (Cole and the original) might actually have a solid chance though.

But who do think will win, I keep thinking Alex mainly cause of speed and smarts but then I keep remembering Cole uses electricity the one thing progenitors have a distinct weakness for.
@@mimmain2673 Mercer is very fast, very powerful, very versatile and very creative, and his body is abnormally tough Besides, he consumed hundreds of elite soldiers and has their cumulative combat experience
@@pratiksengupta5336 yeah sorry I don't really know anyhing about infamous to be honest, maybe I should fix that sometime either way, while death battle fights are always really well animated, their judgement of characters' strengths and weaknesses is always stupid and biased lol
Honestly I played the entire game with fully upgraded claws and shield. If you time the block correctly you attack with your shield spikes and interrupt most attacks. No one can touch you if you master it
nowadays someone will probably go to him and say. "Its okay! We appreciate you! WE respect you! You dont have to be scared!" you know. as one would do as they see a demon with a giant sword for a hand coming at them.
Prototype one did the parkour and and fist fighting way better than 2 but I like the powers combat in 2 more. You could combine stuff and my favorite was the claws lunge
This game series was every kid's dream. Dont think so? A cool man running around, killing everyone with cool stuff, can jump high and transform. He fights against cool looking soldiers, monsters and tanks(helis, LAVis etc.). He can pick up huge things and... Throw them!!! And he can... OH SHIT HE CAN FLY AND MAKE A COOL BOOM ON THE LANDING. This damn game was a compilation of things kids were dreaming about... "were"... A fucking fortnite.
Imagine we play as Pariah (Elizabeth greene's son) at prototype 3 where he teams up with Heller to kick "Prototype king" (created by mercer to be backup plan) And he says "It's Prototyp'in time"
