Why did they get rid of the walk arounds and the animatronics? They were always my favorite part

Animatronics were likely due to budget reasons, as they would likely frequently need maintenance and care. Walk-arounds I have absolutely no idea.

They didn’t get rid of the animatronics. They were planning on it, even made an announcement, but they couldn’t follow though. They changed like 4 or 5 stores to get rid of the animatronics, but that’s it. Also, I don’t think every Chuck E Cheese location has the right permits or whatever for them to rid of the animatronics and put in that big dance floor they were planning, so that was also something of an issue. As for the walk arounds, I’m pretty sure they still used them all the time, though mostly just Chuck E, himself. They would especially use them more when they added those dance floors. But regardless, this company has filed for bankruptcy now. They’re biggest concern is just trying to survive in this really tough times.
