In this vlog we try to cover a famous tourist destination of Bihar called Valmiki Nagar, situated in west champaran district of Bihar. Formally known as BHAINSA LOTAN. It is famous tourist spot where a dam is built on the river Gandak. For the tourist interested in exploring natural beauty, a visit to the sylvan surroundings of ValmikiNagar is a must, where the gushing streams of gandak break the ascetic calm of Himalayan foothills.
It is also famous for Valmiki Ashram where Maharshi Valmiki , the author of the Ramayana is said to have passed some years. It is also said that when sri Ram estranged Maa Sita,
She spent the time in this ashram during which she gave birth the child Luv and Kush.
So it is the birth place of luv and kush.
Balmiki Nagar National Park And Tiger Reserve is a home for 55 plus tigers myraid wild animals and birds. Magnificent Himalayas provide a backdrops for this calm wild land.
It is very famous among Safari lovers. One can see tiger from an open gypsy but it depend on your luck.
The river bank of the Gandak connect two nations India and Nepal that make it very popular tourist destinations as you can also go to Nepal where royal chitban national park and trevendi dham is very famous tourist spots.
In this vlog we try to explore almost all the destinations near Valmiki nagar. In my opinion it is must go tourist destination.
How to reach
The nearest airport is patna at a distance of 295 km. (By air)
The nearest railway station is valmiki nagar is 5km from the Park
There are bus services from Valmiki Nagar to Bettiah (80km) the town.
