Hey, I used to be an average and below average student especially my past semester but I worked my ass of for my terms and got a rank 3 in my college/department, I also managed to get below rank 6 for my next two tests. But since then I’ve been sort of ‘boycotted’ by my peers and have rumors going around of me cheating, at first I thought to myself I shouldn’t let this affect me but today I couldn’t take it anymore. I left my classes early and came back home just because of how depressed I was feeling. Your video popped up on my home page and I really hope that I change myself for the better and work even harder after this video. Thank you

Starting first semester at Boston University this fall. About to pursue my dream of becoming a successful doctor. I worked my but off after I screwed up end of junior year high school and locked in. I wasted away this summer. I failed my EMT course. While I did get clinical hours, volunteering, and shadowing, I wanted to work in a medical field from day one. I will use this as fuel. I listen to these as I fight terminal illness as doctors have told me to just sit but I REFUSE to just sit and wait out my life. I’m fighting for a cause, I’ve started an NPO, I’m working my ass off and I don’t care if it takes years off my life I WILL leave this world a BETTER PLACE. I don’t care about riches or fame, give me a smile on the face of someone enduring immense sorrow, give me someone receiving the healthcare they’ve always needed, give me the touching moment someone decides to keep on fighting versus giving up. Keep the money, keep it all, my palace will be the community’s happiness. Until this world literally buries me, I WILL FIGHT.
I was listening to a podcast that said, “it’s important to live life by design rather than emotion. Basically, sticking to a routine is what allows us to be the healthiest version of ourselves (especially when you're fighting these demons ex. OCD for me). I made the most healthy+lasting changes in my life when I began practising mediocre consistency. Now I try to put in consistent 40-60% effort into my habits (ex. journaling/working out) - to make sure I do it I began recording it and posting it on my youtube channel. Because historically I have a habit of going too hard, not being able to sustain the Herculean effort, giving up and hating myself. So now I’m trying to give a small-ish, consistent mediocre effort everyday. And its crazy how it adds up.
