Circumstances:
Ontario Provincial Constable Vu Pham, 37, a 15-year veteran of the force, died on March 8, 2010. He was responding to a domestic call and was shot after he pulled over a suspect in a vehicle on a country road in Huron County, north of London.

This popped up after researching the application process into the OPP. My future son in law is pursuing. By serving our community, this can happen. I have no doubt this woman's family has been surrounded by support and kindness. When one falls, many rise to support. Your dedication and commitment is appreciated.

Heather, I see that the pain never goes away.It will diminish with time. You are strong & thanks for sharing your love of Vu, & guiding your family. Thank you too for sharing your memories with us. I knew Vu. I was a corrections officer at walkerton jail. I always enjoyed when Vu came to the jail for various duties. He was always very friendly, smiling and well liked and respected by the prison staff. I took my three kids swimming on sundays in wingham and hockey in wingham from our town in lucknow. We always chatted and chuckled. I attended the funeral. I never saw so many police officers in all my life from all over even from the USA. When the boys talked over the pa and said “ I love you daddy “ it absolutely broke my heart and I wept with many others. He will never be forgotten by myself. I hope heather and the boys are all doing well today. RIP my friend. 10-7 🏒🥅🚔💜

Please accept our family's condolences. Your husband sounds like one of the good guys. No family should have to go through something like this. You showed a lot of strength, courage and love by making this video. I'm very sorry for your family's loss.

The three boys have grown up so much into handsome young men. Vu would be so proud of them. You have done an amazing job raising them Heather. When you ,Vu and the boys left Cochrane Ontario to the new posting, the boys were so young. Thank you for sharing this about Vu. Nobody up here has forgotten him. His death shocked us all. He will always be remembered up here as a good man,good husband and father, good police man and a man of God.

God bless you and your children Heather. Thank you for sharing some of Vu with us. I will always remember the shock and sadness I felt when I heard the news of Vu's death. I was from North bay, working in the IST unit out of GHQ in Orillia. Stay strong in His promise that you will see Vu on the other side of eternity.
