Most Christians believe Jesus is God because that is what the institutional church has taught. And it has asserted that if anyone does not believe Jesus is God, that person is not a genuine Christian. But the Bible never supports this assertion. For example, the Bible states repeatedly that Jesus had a God, he prayed to his God, and he worshiped his God. Since the Bible constantly proclaims that there is numerically only one God, Jesus having a God is prime evidence that he was not God. The New Testament (NT) evidence that Jesus had a God is in the Gospel of John, the Apostle Paul’s letters, the book of Revelation as well as other writings. And in most of this sacred writ, it is Jesus himself who is quoted as saying he has a God-the Father. The first NT evidence that Jesus had a God and that he worshipped his God appears in the narrative about Jesus encountering the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well (John 4.7- 26). Now, the Samaritans were half Jew and half Gentile, and they worshiped the God of the Bible. But they disputed with Jews about the proper place on earth to worship God. They claimed it was their Mount Gerizim, and Jews claimed it was their Temple Mount at Jerusalem. When Jesus revealed to the woman that he was a prophet, she posed this question about the proper place of worship. Jesus replied by saying of the Samaritans, “You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (vv. 22-24). When Jesus said, “we worship what we know,” he included himself among the true worshipers of God. And notice that he called God “the Father.” Jesus also revealed that he had a God on the first Easter, only minutes after his resurrection. Mary Magdalene-one of Jesus’ disciples from whom he exorcised seven demons-came early that morning to Jesus’ tomb and discovered it empty (John 20.1- 18). She ran and told two of Jesus’ disciples, one being the Apostle Simon Peter. They ran to the tomb, discovered it empty, and departed. Mary then returned to the tomb and apparently became the first disciple who literally saw and conversed with the risen Jesus. We read, “Jesus said to her, ‘Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, “I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God”’” (v. 17). So, the risen Jesus clearly called the Father “My God.” Five times the Apostle Paul writes unequivocally about God the Father being the God of the Lord Jesus Christ. These texts are as follow: “glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 15.6). “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 1.3). “The God and Father of the Lord Jesus” (2 Corinthians 11.31). “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 1.3). “the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory” (Ephesians 1.17). The Apostle Peter also uses the same language in the opening of his first epistle - “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:3). Six times the book of Revelation describes Jesus Christ as having a God, who is none other than God the Father. These passages are as follows: Jesus “has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father” (Revelation 1.6). Jesus said, “I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God” (3.2). Jesus said, “I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God (3.12). Jesus added, “and I will write on him the name of My God” (3.12). Jesus added, “and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem” (3.12). Jesus added, “which comes down out of heaven from My God” (3.12). The Old Testament (OT) states that the Messiah has a God. First, while Jesus hung on the cross he quoted Psalm 22.1 and applied it to himself by crying out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27.46; Mark 15.34). Second, Isaiah foretold much about a righteous Servant of Yahweh (Isaiah 42-53), whom the Apostle Peter implied was Jesus (Acts 3.13; 4.27, 30). Isaiah represented this Servant as saying, “the justice due to Me is with the LORD [=Yahweh], and My reward with My God…. For I am honored in the sight of the LORD, and My God is My strength” (Isaiah 49.4-5). Third, Micah prophesied that the Messiah would be born in “Bethlehem” and become “ruler in Israel” in “the name of the LORD His God” (Micah 5.2, 4). So, at least fifteen times the Bible declares unequivocally that Jesus had a God, whom he designated as “the/My Father.” Yet the Bible never conversely states that the Father has a God, much less that he is the man Jesus Christ. One would expect this if the institutional church has been right about its doctrine of the Trinity, that God is one essence existing in three separate and distinct, co-equal and co-eternal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. On the contrary, the Johannine Jesus said, “the Father is greater than I” (John 14.28), so that they cannot be co-equal; he identified the Father as “the one and only God” (5.44); and he prayed to the Father, calling him “the only true God” (17.3). With such overwhelming evidence that God the Father is the God of Jesus Christ, it is biblically incorrect to identify Jesus as God and morally irresponsible for the church to not accept people as genuine Christians only because they do not believe Jesus is God. Paul clearly states, “if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10.9). So, if anyone truly believes in the risen Jesus as their Lord and Savior, that person is a born again Christian, regardless of whether s/he believes that Jesus is God.
Because he is the express image of the invisible God.. Not because he is the father... Even within the scripture this guy pulled he proved the trinity to be a lie Hebrews 1:9 [9]Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; *therefore God, EVEN THY GOD,* hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. The Creator has no beginning and end unlike humans. He wasn't born from a woman, doesn't need to go to the restroom, and doesn't get hungry. Jesus, however, experienced all these human aspects. I am going to assume that what the Christian man is saying is true. Then that would mean that no one has ever seen Jesus or can see him, and that he has never died. He cannot have it both ways and be true according to the following Bible verses. If he cannot see his fallacy, it's because he is grossly indoctrinated and intellectually dishonest. 1 John 4:12 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. John 1:18 18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. 1 Timothy 6:16 16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
Many Christians don't know Jesus is God like this youngster. It's a pity. The Pastors of the Churches must make a note of it and educate their Church Members about the Trinity in the proper way. Praise God Brother, you made him know that he is wrong about the way he thought about Jesus. God bless you.
So if Jesus is God then you would have to ask yourself can and did God die for three days and if so who was running the heavens and earth while God was dead. God is everlasting he can't die.
He knows better than you do! Read my other comment, there you'll find more verses about who Jesus is than these two verses you guys repeat over and over again, because you have only these two or three, but without understanding them or knowing the true translation. Learn languages like Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek because this way you'll start to understand and you'll notice that there are words that were translated incorrectly, on purpose or not, only God knows. All the other languages are not that important. Like people never fell down before him and worshipped to him (in the sense of praying to him). They fell down to honor him. You can honor him and you should, that's totally fine, but you don't pray to Jesus. You pray to God in the name of Jesus! Not the other way around!!!
The Black Hebrew is a cult member. The guy on the right is speaking truth. Christ is God. He told his disciples, "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?" John 14:9 KJV I"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1 KJV Jesus is fully God. And the Hebrew Israelites, Black Hebrews, hahaha are not Christians.
Do ppl in these comments hear themselves…..HOW? I meant really really think this thru, ask yourself this question in your head…. How can Jesus be God if he with God. He is a god but not The Creator the almighty high. ⬇️READ⬇️ 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Revelation 3:9 (KJV) Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
I'm sorry that's the impression you get from Christians. I apologize if anyone claiming to be one was rude. If it helps, this man was not acting as a Christian. We are not perfect but it's also the not so silent monitory that sets the stereotype. I would say that the rude guy needs to examine if he actually is a follower of Jesus or just thinks he is.
Me and my fiancé were reading genesis the other night (my fiancé pointed this out) - Even when God is creating the earth, He uses the word “We” when speaking about Himself. We stopped and looked at the original translation and it’s the same. It’s right in front of our faces.
Yeshua is the first son of the father so it makes sense he was here for the creation of Earth. I believe from the scriptures we are made in the image of the angels as it says let us make man in our image which is plural in all the translations I’ve seen. Elohim is generally plural too in the scriptures. Yeshua sits to the right of his father and was given authority
The Bible says the word became, flesh and dwelled amongst us and we beheld glory as the only begotten of the father, that means Jesus was born thru a virgin birth meaning it was supernatural brith!
Lord is in spirit and he is everywhere. He appeared in flesh is Jesus. Because he was born to a woman He is called Son. When the Spirit enters into you that is called Holy spirit. So all that 3 is one.
And beyond controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." 1 Timothy 3:16
@@10willybilly No it hasn’t been “REWRITTEN” countless times. Y’all be confusing Bible translations to different versions of the Bible. There are many different translations of the Bible because it has to be translated in different languages for people to understand it & as time goes on the lingo changes so they make different translations because due to that. The reason why the Bible is so credible is because some of the writers of the Holy Bible were actual eyewitnesses & apart of Jesus Christ Ministry. The Bible is a collection of books with over 40 different authors over the course of 1,500 years & through those years it spanned throughout different parts of the world carrying around a prophetic & accurate message of what was & is to come & that message was of Jesus Christ via the old testament & Jesus Christ fulfilled the prophecy said to come via the New Testament. The Bible is a book of instruction from God. So the fact that multiple people who didn’t know each other & were in different parts of the world & carried the same message as if it was written by 1 person carrying a prophetic message is the reason why the Bible is so credible & true.
GREETINGS : THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS 1 CORINTHIANS CH 15 VERSES 1 THRU 4 OR WATCH LES FELDICK BOOK 23 VIDEO 270 , I TEACH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN 😇💝🙏
In the Old Testament, God revealed His name to Moses: “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you’” (Exodus 3:14). Thus, in Judaism, “I AM” is unquestionably understood as a name for God. Whenever Jesus made an “I am” statement in which He claimed attributes of deity, He was identifying Himself as God
The scriptures tell us that God is omnipresent everywhere and in all things. We are all a piece of God. Jesus is anointed most high above us. And is God as our hand is us. But scriptures tell us that I am is God Above all.
I love that this young man has a Bible. Preachers and Christians of the living God Jesus Christ. Stop using your phones. Use your bible. Respect Gods word enough to use the scripture and not a phone.
