Another brand that I think is great in my opinion is "Donkey" Pros: pretty light for what they are, painted with this hazard green color, they pick up a lot, have Kubota motors, maintenence haven't been too complicated to maintain, easy to operate because you have a shifter to put it in gear like a car so you can train people how to use it easily, and if you get the M13-5k or the D14-5.5k they usually come with all the bells and whistles like side shift, adjustable forks, stablizers, etc. Cons: not everything is easy to get to so you have to take a couple panels off, if you have a flatbed trailer you can unload from one side if you're getting between the truck axles and the trailer axles but at the axles themselves you can unload from one side unless you order the extended reach, and the hook up is unique so it's not universal like the hook ups you see for princetons, navigators, western, and even newer Moffetts. So far we have been happy with our donkey forklift but unless a dealership is near you you'll have to do a lot of maintenance and repairs yourself unless a shop is willing to work with you. Edit: the reason why manufacturers make these forklifts to lift so high is because some companies use these forklifts to stack pallets up high or to get things down from tall areas. I know a grass farm in my area would use their navigator forklift (basically the same one as this forklift) to get empty pallets from the top of the stack of pallets and load them into their harvesters. The possibilities of what people can use these forklifts for are near endless.
Gotcha. I heard of donkey brand .... but they always looked lightweight .... so far we are happy with our western units !!!! Waiting on the second one to arrive !!!

Any recommendations on trailer mounted forklifts? We typically use Moffett, but mixed in a few LoadMacs. Looking to find the best brand out there for rougher terrain.
