The proximity unlock never worked for me at all. It worked a few times on the Move OS3 update, but I've tried several times today on Move OS4 Beta. It's just a headache to resolve it and finally I've booked an appointment under Care+ package. I tried the silent proximity unlock feature since the phone was connected to Bluetooth but it never worked even once. Only the keypad shows each time. The app also hangs sometimes and this adds to the frustration. I wanted this feature badly to make it handsfree but this never worked out for me. Not to mention that the GPS location of my scooter is around 40-50meters away from the exact location. How accurate is your location of the scooter? I figured this out before itself whenever I use maps because I get a longer route and it keeps reconfiguring the routes inbetween the journey. Ola Maps is a good addition but I hope it works better than MapmyIndia. I hope my GPS gets resolved too. Thanks for the video. You presented it nicely. From your 2nd attempt onwards, I became a bit jealous 😅.
Just keep a setting on - "allow gps all time" Not to forget that the proximity is still in beta stage. Hill hold is now in final stage. So for many people proximity works, for some it does not. On the other hand for ios it works for 90% people. PS: I never prefer to use proximity Unlock, haven't used it in the past 2 yrs. Unlocking though phone or keypad is more assuring.
@@ushudno_official all the settings are enabled but still it doesn't work. I don't want to unlock it automatically. But silent proximity unlock suits me better so you switch it ON only after you sit on the scooter. This way I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket while carrying other things.
Appreciable demonstration ! Thanks ❤ . Hoping you will mention them as feedback, the proximity unlocking issues you faced, so that they could improve it better in stable.
So that if u r standing near the scooter n talking to a frnd or family member, it dosent keep on unlocking every (whatever time u choose to sbooze) time
"Many of the newer phones are coming with virtual proximity sensors, meaning they don't have a hardware proximity sensor, but they utilize the gyroscope and the accelerometer to sense when the phone is raised to the ear." Example: Redmi 12 5g Will not work with a scooter proximity lock and unlock 😢.
Your Proximity unlock testing is OK, but for locking the scooter you testing seems different. If you move away from the scooter it locks automatically according to range setting. No need to lock from mobile phone 😒
I haven't enabled proximity lock... Only unlock is enabled that y it doesn't lock when moved away. I anyway don't use proximity lock in daily use. Just tried for testing purpose
Great video too much informative. But I wanted know that does the battery drain while proximity unlock as location of our phone is on all time and it works or not while screen is turned off. Great job 👍 I wanted the information you provided but no other RU-vidrs covered in this much depth.
@@ushudno_official Maybe now it is not accessing location but I have noted that your phone was showing location emoji in the top while you have closed the ola app.
Well people below 18 should not ride at first. People above 18 are not children, and we have option to lock sports and hyper mode, which limits the top speed to 80kmph
Proximity Lock & Unlock both test karo...Far, Near to dekh liya Midium pe v check Karo +++ Mobile ko Lock kar ke Pocket mai Rakkho...haat Mai phone ho to kya fayda Proximity ka. Personally mujhe nahi lagta isko Bluetooth use karke Perfect Kam karwana asan hoga, they should use Wifi Location On ho to bohot Pressure parta hai Mobile Battery pe, ye ek problem hai + Zaruri nahi har time Internet On ho,
App was closed dosent matter if phone locked or unlocked. App working don't get interrupted by phone locked or unlocked until battery saver and app restrictions are enabled
