PRS SE P20E & Taylor GTE Urban Ash Demo 

I've played them both and the Taylor is oh so much more comfortable. The PRS plays tight and sounds tight. Unfortunately, I can only play the Urban Ash at my local Guitar Center due to a small problem known as money.

Different woods, different strings, different sizes, different price points. I’m parking my new PRs next to my handmade OM with the spruce top and my other random stringed diversions. It’s the perfect tool for its intended task.

Having had the privilege of playing both of these, I would say the Taylor GT is by a good margin the more comfortable guitar to play and has a richer sound. The scale length and neck profile of the Taylor gt makes it a breeze to play while not being too slinky like the gs mini . Of course these instruments vastly differ in price but you can feel and hear the difference. overall I’d say the Taylor feels much more like an instrument that has had more attention to detail put towards it. However one may feel more at home with the longer scale length of the prs and also it’s aesthetic design !

It would be very easy to eq the PRS to sound like the more expensive Taylor. I will know tomorrow as my P20 will arrive, much better looking than the Taylor IMO.

I think the Taylor when picking sounds fuller and the PRS strummed sounds sweeter to my ears

The Taylor sounds better to my ears for fingerpicking, but when it came to chords, the gap was smaller as they both sounded a bit thin.

Is it weird that I like the sound of prs more?

The Taylor is $1100 more. Also Parlor guitars by their nature and size are going to have a bit of a more muted sound.

Own the P20E. Watching this video made wish I had the Taylor!

Well, I might have duff hearing, but there ain’t 1300 quids worth of difference there! I’d say that though cos I just ordered the PRS

Ahh Taylor's finally catching UP to Maton, & embracing AUSSIE hard woods! The old bit of redgum is like working steel! Heavy & dense and lasts for EVER!

I see people in the comments saying the Taylor is way better first of all they are completely different guitar types also they’re is like a difference of £1200 so people thinking it will sound similar in anyway are off their heads.

p20 has an ebony board and bridg3 ,how could you omit that

Honestly, the Taylor sound really thin. The PRS sounds much fuller and robust.

Re nay sense. Man I love Brits accent.

For the acoustic guitar, definitely buy the Taylor.

Huge price diff?

I don't understand the comparison. How can you compare a spruce top and mahogany top in any meaningful way? The Taylor is not really a parlor guitar, and at 3 times the cost, I don't think I learned anything useful here.

PRS sounds like mahogany Parlor. Taylor sounds like spruce top small acoustic. Ok lets move on now? Who in there right mind expected these to sound remotely the same or close?

If it wasn't for the price point I'd say Prs sounds much better...;)
