main problem: you use a stand on spool roller without any enclosure. was always an unnecessary risk. and i never get why ppl use them at all. if there is any knot or other problem, they will get pulled down and cause problems. even worse problems than the extruder motor grinds down the fila and the print fails from feeding problems.
This was my first time using a 3kg spool. Never had stuck filament like that on a 1kg spool before so didn't think this would happen. If I ever buy one again, I'll add something through the center of the spool to retain it if it jams like that.
That stinks. Though video tutor implies this is somehow the printers fault? I guess maybe it could have detected something funky with the tension and paused instead
