@@alexb8508 overall very close to the same game but of course the new one will be the go-to if u plan on playing ufc long term and want to get the latest roster updates and all that. The fun level is basically the same. So many shitty things in both games but still did have some fun on 4 overall and i get the same fun on 5. The submission system is the one true upgrade over 4, but i will say theres nothing really on 5 thats WORSE than anything on 4, its more of a problem that, they didnt fix enuff of the dumb shit from 4 and just left it in 5. Thats the biggest issue with the game, and it basically doubled down on the meta from 4
Three game modes that I think can boost the longevity of UFC 6 by a fuck ton. 1. An original story mode like Fight Night Champions for my career. This is a cinematic experience 10 hours in length or more where we play through the journey of a MMA career from humble beginnings to the pinnacle of the sport culminating in a world title bout. 2. MYGYM, in this mode, you take the reigns of a head coach & build your own team of fighters from scratch. Not mistaken for ultimate team, this is a whole new experience where you try to manage a group of athletes & the aim to build a legacy like ATT, Chute Box, AKA, City Kickboxing, etc. 3. The Dana White mode. This is probably the best game mode this franchise could add that could completely revolutionize the series. Put me in the shoes of the promoter, let me deal with signing fighters, managing morals & contract disputes, let me build new stars, and build the brand even further. Imagine playing the matchmaker for a whole calendar year of fights.

I think you’re pretty generous with 4.5. Essentially they updated some graphics like blood and rearranged some UI elements. They just don’t care about what their customers think or want. As long as we keep handing over our money to these large corporations they won’t improve, Large corporations don’t care about the actual products they produce they care only about the share value and the product Sadly has no bearing on the share value. Almost completely separate things.
The most annoying thing(and this applies to the other EA UFC games) is that the fighters feel so bland, Movement wise. It's like different skins put on the same character which moves the same.

Look at undisputed, they have a lot of the “big names” when it comes to boxing and the gameplay is decent but they’re struggling to get any real mainstream attention. Name recognition carries with the casual fans and tbh I don’t see casual fans buying an mma game that doesn’t say ufc and have a mcgregor, Silva or adesanya type figure on the front of the box
Remember the game, Fable, where in game decisions affected gameplay and how you are perceived in the world? That's how they should make career mode. You should be able to be the good guy or bad guy based on in game decisions you make. These games lack real interactivity so, story or not, they're always just cookie cutter.

if i’m being completely honest here there’s a lot of change that needs to happen. VERY generous 4/10 Pry. for 1, they need to fix buggy gameplay. The overhands that always land and kill your block. The headkicks that you DUCKED and still hit. The new animations don’t mean squat when it’s buggy. Tracking is atrocious. for 2 i really liked your video on UFC 3 block vs. UFC 5 block, if block was buffed slightly, along with stamina reduced, block breaking consistently would be eradicated completely. for 3, they must stop babying new players by making the game overpowered. GIVE THEM TUTORIALS on the new sub system and don’t just tell them how to do it, make it so they can click on the tutorial they want, then they can go right into practice and practice them right away. with those gameplay changes ALONE, i see this very appreciative 4/10 you gave it easily go to a 6 or a 7. With new game modes you talked on?? 8 or 9.
Be cool if they had the separate disciplines as game modes with leaderboards, like a boxing only, Muay Thai only, jui jitsu/wrestling only etc.. would have also helped players work on certain aspects of their game
Pry saying the truth on his take. Touching on what he said in a past video. The responsiveness from ufc five is what makes stand up better for me than 4. The stam, damage, and health from 4 is also something I’m use to now. I don’t love ufc 4 but I’d prefer knowing how I got a flash KO or how it happens to me in weird situations. The ground submission are better but I don’t like grapple advantage or how you have a circle bar that you have to wait for to fill up to transition. It should be straight reaction. Muscle memory. Stam management And knowing how to defend. I just imagine a system just like we have with transitions but take out the circle meter. If my opponent sees my movements he should be able to react off of it or read what I’ve done from the past. I don’t mind if it takes a sec to transition but it seems too long. Some transitions are either too fast to defend or too slow. Idk how to put it, but it seems buggy at times. I know that ufc 5 isn’t where people want it to be, but I hope that it improves. I joke about how if Dana white and Conor rolled up into ea ufc division Dana Starts slinging monitors while Conor yelling “what is that!” That maybe ea would tighten up a little bit 😂. All I know is I still watch all your fighter showcases for ufc 4 and I’d love to see the ones you may release on ufc 5. Love the content and the honesty. Respect. Stay blessed everyone.
Sim Style players (like myself) always suffer early on until they start dropping patches. 1 Month later & they still havnt fixed the bug for upgrading single and double leg takedowns on Online Career. Division 20 starts off as a rock em sock em robot pushing forward breaking your block, and then moves to a clinch fest for an uppercut that hits you for across the cage after a pull apart. The game is in a rough state.
I have tried the trial of UFC 5 and found many "new features" which are already in UFC 4. Like the Legacy, Hybrid and Assist grapple controls, Fight Now(i.e offline play) in UFC 4 has the simplified couch controls. So that ain't new.
Also a lot of the problems the fight has at release, we’re the same exact problems ufc 4 on release. They just updated the UI and took away a lot of the patches and shipped out UFC 5.
This game is good when it comes to presentation when it comes to actual gameplay and updates to modes its definitely not as good as some people act it is. Its literally UFC 4 with better lighting

My main problem with all of these ufc games is that they feel so unintuitive and robotic. Every action I make and take feels turn based and animation based in some sense. The lack of any feeling mechanics and physics based mechanics is really lackluster for the time period we are in where games are supposed to be soooo “good.” It’s like sometimes me and my opponent take turns punching, kicking, blocking, dodging. When in the clinch, whoever initiates has the advantage until your next turn which you can either walk away or change position. On the ground, you have a stupid mini game with different turns you can make to get into different positions. It isn’t engaging at the least.
Why don’t they make a online my career where you gotta work your way up to the rankings and fight other players/content creators like PPV fights and fight the best fighters in the world hard to explain 😭
Countless bugs every time, and I mean every time I played the game. Lots of cut content from refs, entrances gear, ect. multiple matches where my character T-poses in the middle of the octagon like jesus. smh Worst $60 I spent in a long time.
Like pry said adding that addition to career mode where you have to actually go to a jiu jitsu school or classes kickboxing wrestling etc to get your character better. It would force ppl to actually learn how to play the game and stop a lot of these spammers
Ultimate team is awful, its the biggest cash grab in the gaming industry. Ufc 5 is mid, but its awesome that it doesnt have ultimate fighter or something like that

For the online career and ultimate team thing, the ufc 2 ultimate team was the best mode they ever had and they removed it in three because they said players didn’t play it enough, the only real difference between online career mode and ultimate team is the fucking packs and cards that have u attributes and moves besides the there is nothing different u pick ur move set instead of hunting down for the best moves
A GM mode would be a nice change to mix these games up a little. I've been thinking of a game mode in which a player can watch 2 other players fight and vote for the winner. The mode would be 3 rounds. No knockout or submission wins, just a straight up battle that is recorded and placed on a board for 6 or so hours and players would vote who they think won the fight.
Couldn't agree more. And online career matchmaking scks it takes up to 20 minutes once you reach like 2300 skill points and you will keep getting the same players over and over again. Also 150-250 ms ping seems normal which is nuts you can't even back out at this high ping like in online ranked🤢🤮

I have over 1200 hours and plat trophy in UFC 4. I was so hyped for 5 I avoided all gameplay and trailers so I would get to see everything for the first time. Payed 100 bucks to get early access and my disappointment is immeasurable. I’m so upset they care this little about us and this franchise. THEY HAD LIKE 3 OR 4 YEARS THIS IS INEXCUSABLE.
What’s funny is it’s not my first time with ea I have played every UFC they made. I saw that 5 was M which is awesome for a MMA game and 4 got better with time so I figured they learned LOL how blindly hopeful I was that it would be decent and it would be more sim than arcade. 😭

IMO the shit with stamina is done with a ourpose. Cause I remember ufc 4 at the release date was a better game, stamina management was important then they just patched it, made block breaking spammers
I honestly feel like your rating was fair, iv completely gone off this game. It’s tailored to block breakers and is super frustrating, button layout changes have hurt my game…. Visually the game is the best it’s ever been.. this game is gonna die off so quickly.
Haven't bought the game and don't plan on it until it's at least 25 dollars. The lack of effort they put into this game is crazy. It took them how long to make this and they couldn't get some actual motion capturing to give a true to life feel to these fighters??? After all these years??? No they were happy giving up longer fighter intros that you don't see online and the same damn game with a roster update. Those weak ass doctor stoppages and whatever other minimal additions they made are not enough and I'm truly disappointed. As long as we waited we deserved better simple.
A mode where you can play some of the most iconic fights in UFC history would be cool UFC undisputed 2010 did this and you could recreate real fight like Chris leben vs Anderson silva ect a new version of this would be cool like having to KO Usman with Leon’s high kick combo or having to sub Conor with Diaz or having to make it 3 rounds with Justin vs chandler

Online career is cool, but they should fix all the bugs or most of them, and also should increase xp for progression… Also Prestiging your fighter takes forever, especially now that not a lot of people are playing…

Yall tripping the online career mode in UFC 5 is exactly what the Gym was on fight night champion. You a character in each weight class. And you were able to delete them and reuse the points. Only difference is its ufc . What they did was take some of rhe good people liked in fight night and tries to put it in UFC 5 and call it new!

After playing the 10 hour trial, I think it’s better than UFC 4 like everyone said but that’s not saying much because ufc 4 sucked overall. There’s little issues I’ve had playing UFC 5. I always felt UFC 3 was the best that I’ve played. Don’t get me wrong there was some things I really liked in UFC 5 but overall it doesn’t feel like a new game just a UFC 4 upgrade. It’s the same way people say MW3 is a MW2 dlc.
It's mad that this game had 0 innovation other than the rework of the ground system...fight contracts looks like the exact same features we had in a previous EA UFC game where you'd make picks on the real life fights and then get the chance to play out your prediction for additional xp. Online career is basically a re-skin of the old CAF ultimate team mode. It's actually the laziest game EA has ever gotten away with releasing
Simple things. Along with the leaderboard I would like to see record book , stat sheets. I wanna see who's got the most kos who got most subs. Strikes landed per round.
I played the trial, for the price not interested if they lower the price yea I’ll buy it but the game itself don’t even feel like ufc 4.5 rather it fells like ufc 4.2
The only game mode i was actually able to enjoy was online career mode but the obvious flaw there is the auto Queue normally if i have the option to back out due to bad connection i will but online career doesn’t have that option

I like the game but I also agree with the points made in the video. As an MMA game: 6/10 A Competitive fighting game:3/10🐶💩 A Sports sim:2/10 💀 A casual fighter: 7/10 Game definitely not for everyone but it has its highs and lows for me so far

Crazy to think I used to faithfully watch your videos because I used to faithfully play UFC 4 and 3. Yet now I havent touched a UFC game in years. May do it maybe once a month but the UFC games are WAY too exploitable. The soundtracks in the few games recently were terrible Especially for UFC 4 and career mode is still shit. All I know is the game is only good for playing online yet the game being too exploitable makes the game almost unplayable

I actually agree with most of what you say I don't think we need a story mode though I think that if EA would have just taken the time to play THQ EA Sports Undisputed 3 they might actually see how a real UFC game is made and how people who have passionate about UFC make a great game did the delay in the inputs for punches kicks and everything else make this game really messed up I don't understand why EA could not have played a few games of Undisputed 3 seen how very good and almost perfect the game was and picked up from there instead they ruined the game and make it odd on all fronts the campaign mode is seriously lackluster especially when you compare it to a game that's been out years ago all EA would have had to have done was play a few rounds of THQ UFC Undisputed 3 to see what a real game was like and they could have had a winner but they don't care cuz their Shields and they just take our money
Playing story modes in other sports games makes you realize you don’t want a story mode in these games. Not saying that I think the career mode in UFC 5 is good. It sucks. It wouldn’t be better with a story. There are so many other things to fix in career mode that I would be pissed if they wasted time and resources to give me cutscenes. F*** a cut scene improve the mode. I gotta be a champion before I learn a D’arce at 55 WTF !!! Same as last year exactly the same. Which makes it even worse. Can I call out a fighter like damn add something to the mode I don’t wanna have a story make the game better. Cutscenes just gonn piss me off when I’m playing the same damn bland game mode competing against fighters that are at the time 40+ years old over and over again.
Ive already stopped playing it, its just a chore to get on, people abusing armbars the gameplay is the exact same as 4 and after 3 years we were in need of serious change to keep the game fresh, as soon as i saw the talking about the clinch on martials video i knew there was some serious red flags the damage system doesn't really feel like it makes much of a difference in weather you should try to perform realistically not having a updated roster i mean come on its ufc 5 on ps5. All in all it just felt like a rushed cash grab, in the trailer we see grappling exchanges between islam and volk, Conor amd chandler animations that are not in the game, but yea big disappointment, stats are detailed yet don't refelct much difference in gameplay clinch perks when there is no clinch leg kicks still don't affect movement no takedowns after wiffed strikes the worst part is all if this is in older titles i know im rambling but there is so many issues now its impossible to fix.
The fact that Undisputed 3 a game from 2012 looks better than this arcade pile of shit is unbelievable. THQ really pushed realism to the best as they could, you can feel the love for MMA playing Undisputed games and the ground system was the best ever built. EA took everything away. The animations looks terrible, off, like the fighters have a stick deep into their butt or something. But hey, this is EA. We're used to it. Dana should've never allow EA to ruin the UFC franchise.
