The problem with the submission system is that high level grapplers like BJ Penn can easily get put into a cheese armbar, lose all his stamina, then your opponent gets another free submission attempt and finishes BJ PENN in TWO submission attempts.
Just lost to a pettis that only threw flying double knee, front kick, spinning heel kicks and spinning body kick. It didnt matter if i blocked counter or weaved and countered his random hits did more damage than mine. he probably only landed 15 of all those strikes combined. i landed 236 and had all his health down didnt matter at all. I hope undisputed does well im over all these games
I hope the update does fix the game bro, online is genuinely god awful, the only time I have fun with this game is after a fatty and some whiskey with the boys playing winner stays on, trying to play this competitively is useless
@@masondykstra9464i just don’t like the grappling it’s repetitive. they made the submission system in terms of getting out and defending a submission the same as the grappling. if they would’ve kept it like ufc 4 game based then it would’ve made it a little bit better in terms of getting out and submitting somebody. i feel like after 2 submissions it’s over
Cross-platform play would help a bunch with online career mode matchmaking. It seems like in 2024, all games should be cross-platform. Neural implants are being introduced, yet we can’t have universal cross-platform for all current gen games?
This game is for casuals people should just give up on hoping they’ll make the game more competitive. The casual player drives most of the sales, they could make the gameplay more in depth but it’d be too tedious for the average player to want to learn. If the game was an actual MMA sim people would hate it, they want to hold forward and throw 12 strike combos and nothing more, it’s the same for the grappling, just drain your stamina and win
Striking is god awful too.. If you play patient and pick your shots your at the mercy of the opponent and block break.. Jab Jab Cross Uppercut or hook spamming… You can definitely punish it but in 4 if someone was cheesing throwing without reading the punish would be a KO not in 5..

I have no confidence that this game will ever get the update it truly needs to fix the gay bullshit they neglect man. From the repeated cage knockdowns, desperate escape submission escapes to the nevvvvver ending stamina/block breaking battle they just cant seem to get ahead of. EA ruins sports games. THQ had the best UFC games, simple as that. They put love into their games, and it showed with the progression they made over their series. The Pride modes will always be undefeated. And FFS take the goddamn in game store out of the fucking game. Noone wants tiktok dances, let alone spend 5 dollars for the fucking emote.
Every update Is bs yesterday I got hit wit 182 strikes in the first round. If they don’t drastically change the stamina I’m not playing this game anymore I’m just gonna play undisputed
