God love you girl,it's the Irish that counts.....proud Irish man,......not Gerry Butler, that blokes from Paisley.....outside Glasgow ,but in fairness to him he's a CELTIC SUPPORTER.............I love him too,and I'm straight...,,,,,,,,,!?
They should have done the full song for the sound track, play it during the credits and and made a music video for the special feature on the DVD release.
this movie made me visit ireland, now my travel-experience make me want to go back there asap: I found the irish guy i was never looking for, wrote my own little irish love story and decided to live there and join this very unique people! Thank you Ireland, for just amazing me over and over again!
I watched this movie in my teenage years, I am 30 now. Few flings here and there but never had my share of love which made me realise sometimes love isn't for everyone. Movies like these makes me happy, real life couples make me smile. Life is still beautiful. I hope yours is too. Wish you experience love atleast once in your lifetime. 🍁
Yeah come on, I just turned 30 and we’re not that old, I still have hope to find love. It may not be a my Highschool-sweetheart (and thank god it isn’t!), but it will happen!
Okay, so I just came back from Dublin! And it was amazing! I loved it there. I also went to the place where Gerry and Holly met in the Wicklow Mountain National Park. And because my friend asked a lovely Irish singer in a pub to sing this song he said 'This song is dedicated to a Dutch girl Sanne' My life is complete.
Gosh, I really would like a man to sing this to me! He doesn't have to be Irish, as long as he's a genuinely nice guy, (and possibly Irish! Haha..) lovely movie I will always remember and tear up over. It's so real.. Especially this scene, it just makes ya laugh and feels almost like you're there jamming out and dancing. Such an underrated movie.. Has such a beautiful, sad, and witty storyline that seems as real as day. Gotta find me a Gerry
This scene and the beginning fight and make up are some of my favorites from this movie. Just an all around great movie. Gerard Butler is one of my favorite actors so that helps lol.

I’m at my cousins wedding in Ireland and her Irish husband just did something like this during the ceremony. I’ve been crying for 10 hours. They are living a PS I love you without death.
My favourite movie I could watch this everyday I love it 🥰 I absolutely love this song and I’m proud to say Gerard butler comes from my home town paisley Scotland.
I showed my daughter this movie for the first time last week. She’s 12. I asked her who she thought was the cutest. Gerry, Daniel, or William. She picked Gerry. I agree. lol.
I’ve seen this movie a million times. I still come to RU-vid to watch favorite scenes and listen to the soundtrack. I still remember when this movie came out in 07. I was going through a heart break. I’d get drunk with my girlfriends on the weekends, come home after to put this on to cry and fall asleep. I remember saying my husband would be from Ireland lol😂 Gerard butler is still my huge crush. ❤
Damn this part reminds me of my cousin who had passed a few years back. He was one heck of a guitar player and a ladies man. He’d love to sing songs that everyone could sing a long and dance to. Also make a few gals in the crowd blush with his sense of humour. He was the life of every party. He lived life on the edge. But sadly passed way too young. Love you Garry Dean. I’ll see you later.
It's a classic example of fate and when you know you know. My husband and I met under similar circumstances and we just knew each was going to be different from anything we had known. Still so in love all these years later and I'm grateful every day he's beside me. This scene always makes me cry
I think the Irish/Scottish are the most beautiful, sexy, wonderful sounding/looking people. I love their culture and could listen to the way they speak ALL DAY!!! Ugh! I wish I'd been born in Ireland or Scotland!!!!
Does anyone think that gerry set her up with his best friend? Just realized that was a possibility. He wanted her to find love again and why not with his best friend?
This is the best concept ever created. Nice, genuine, passionate american girl falls in love with the handsome, charming, guitar-playing irish man. The best combination in history, Irish guy and American girl.
Fell in love with a sweet girl to this song. Gave me the best 10 years of my life .. Mum to my 3 daughters. Sadly she is my ex wife now. Still thankful.
This must of been hard to do the a Irish accent when he's scottish love him tho I'm proud to be Scottish with him and be living in Paisley ♥️where he lived 😝
I met an American girl. She was my gf for three years but we couldn't stay together due to me not having my own home here in Ireland. She's back home now and I'm delighted she has a good fiance who treats her like she diserves. We'll always be good friends and have a place in our hearts for each other. She knows she is my true love. 🤗🤗😊🤗🤗
This is one of my favorite videos. 1st time I had ever seen Gerard Butler. He is such a good actor whether it's comedy, musical, drama or war, he's the man!!
2019. I was in my college when I watched this movie and its been 13 years now and I still love it. A very thank to steve earle for this beautiful song and joyous music. Love it. Awesome ❤
This is my favorite scene in the whole movie!!!! ♥️🍀👏👏👏👏 The look on her face my emotions literally on a roller coaster dancing singing hysterically crying such an underrated movie. This is the epitome of true love truly putting yourself completely above other people ❤️ his love for her and her happiness and well-being was more important to him than his own death and how he was able to somehow ensure that her life was going to go on and with somebody that he loved and trusted and was his best friend, my God that's the meaning of true love ♥️♥️😍😍🤗🤗😇
I just watched the film again and had to come back to watch this scene again. But why is JDMs Irish accent better than Gerard Butlers? 🤣 The Irish and the Scots are siblings, no? Well maybe cousins then!
This movie has to be my favorite movie every, I mean Holly is a lucky girl, Jeffery Dean Morgan and Gerard Buttler, a girl could only dream to be so lucky.
This is in my top 5 movies. I get a tear every time I watch it. The fact he put the first year in motion because he worried so much about her not be able to get up, move forward and live. The movie is just beautiful!!.
I was listening to the Ed Sheeran song, and it occurred to me a song of the same title was in one of my favorite movies! So I came here to confirm. 😂😍 I love both songs, but mostly love this moment in the film.
Well, I took a stroll on the old long walk Of a day -I-ay-I-ay I met a little girl and we stopped to talk Of a fine soft day -I-ay-I-ay And I ask you, friend, what's a fella to do 'Cause her hair was black and her eyes were blue And I knew right then I'd be takin' a whirl 'Round the Salthill Prom with a Galway girl We were halfway there when the rain came down Of a day -I-ay-I-ay And she asked me up to her flat downtown Of a fine soft day -I-ay-I-ay And I ask you, friend, what's a fella to do 'Cause her hair was black and her eyes were blue So I took her hand and I gave her a twirl And I lost my heart to a Galway girl When I woke up I was all alone With a broken heart and a ticket home And I ask you now, tell me what would you do If her hair was black and her eyes were blue I've traveled around I've been all over this world Boys I ain't never seen nothin' like a Galway girl
Okay, so those of you who have NOT seen "P.S. I love you" what's happening in this scene right here, is these 3 girls have taken a trip from the United States (Where they were all 3 born) to Ireland to have a fun week getaway, and the guy kissing the girl ends up marrying her and moving to the U.S., but then he dies of cancer or something, and so in his will he leaves a ticket for her and her 3 friends to return to Ireland, and go to the same pub where they first met, and a different guy is singing the exact same song,(for her birtday) but she's now crying because 5 or 10 years have passed, and her husband is dead. So the scene is actually showing 2 different phases of the same woman's life, in the same scene.
Doesn't Holly got to Ireland by herself the first time when she meets Gerry? Then when Gerry dies, she follows all his clues for her & then "bumps" into William (guitar player in the "present" Galway Girl) who if you watch closely, is in the original band w/Gerry. He's wearing the cowboy hat in the "flashback" scene playing guitar....But I do love this movie. & goodness, Gerry/Gerard Butler AND William/ Jeffrey Dean Morgan? What the heck...to super hottie actors that Holly hooks up with? I also like at the end when her mum Patricia meets William's father, Patrick (I think)....such a good ending...and that JDM smile.... Mmm.....
This was the worst movie to watch in the theater with your boyfriend, I cried from the beginning to the end. After the movie was over all the ladies were in the bathroom fixing their makeup and all of us sniffing, blowing our noses until one lady said " well you can tell what movie we all watched!" Lol, love this movie but damn I'm always crying!
I found the love of my life, soulmate, he is my angel! He pass 1 year an three months a go and I miss him so much ! After thirty-three years of marriage is hard to keep going with out him. I Love Armando, the love of my life.
saw this movie years before I went to Ireland but it wasn't until I was recovering in Kilkenny where I heard this song several times that I discovered it. Such a great song
Found this movie by accident and I love it. GB is awesome in whatever he does. Rekindled a past love for the Irish. But how cool was his plan. What an amazing man! Love this move xx
One of my all time favorite movies. Only been to Ireland once (hate flying). My grandfather was 1 of 12, 3 came to the US (one being my grandfather), 1 went to Canada, so I have tons of relatives in Ireland. Scotland as well, as my dad was born there. Beautiful countries.
@@pearlkelly6337 I was 17 when I finally went. It's was a long time ago. I have a place to stay if I could go back. It's the flight that I can't handle.
Gerry in this film makes me cry literally bucket loads, I’m crying typing this lol 😂😭 I’m of Irish Roots and I’m planning on travelling to the old land soon. (After COVID obvv) I wanna find my own Gerry and I hope and pray to my lord Jesus that not bad would ever happen to him 😭 ( guys I’m serious I cant see now cuz the tears )
