Something a lot of people probably don't know: See Motor Toon Grand Prix? That was literally Gran Turismo with a cartoon skin. The engine was the same, and MTGP was basically used as a test-bed for the GT engine.

sort-of, it was directed by the same guy but its not really the same engine

@@metallicarabbit The graphics engine is, iirc. The physics on GT is updated, but the basics are there, including the slightly weird suspension model.

Gran Turismo 2 is my favorite Ps1, although Gran Turismo 1 had the best dodge viper physics, fish tailing out of turns was a lot of fun

Most of these racing games are Japanese only. It sucks when game developers make a racing game, but they only release it in Japan. I'm sure other countries would like to see these games.

All ps1 games are offline since there wasn't internet in the 90s so you should be good to play while traveling

Hey dude can you help me out? I did the whole negcon mapping with the DFGT but in GT2 when I enter the GT mode main menu the cursor just goes to the top left corner and is stuck there. Any ideas?
