The jump from PS1 to PS2 and PS2 to PS3 are pretty big, but the jump in graphics of the Need For Speed games from PS3 to PS4 don’t seem that big.

The PlayStation 3 has been the best console for me. Even to this day. The PlayStation 2 games were genuinely fun, unlike the PS4 games of today, and the PS3 had the fun factor, and split screen, all in HD. Games cost nothing now, they still look beautiful, and I have more fun with them than anything I've played on the recent conscoles.

Console games look different on youtube than on the TV. PS3 has some pretty bad anti alising which I think is better on PS4 ( I dont have a PS4 so I dont know but I imagine they improved it). Also from what I hear they improved framerate and loading times. Definitely more of an evolution than a re-volution, but those things can make a huge difference.

I don't know. Graphics does not guarantee the level of fun. I am still excited playing ps1 and 2. Lots of games in lots of genres. And levelling up does not require aeons of time or too stressed burden. I have turned 38 and I don't really have much time playing around with ps4.

Jumat there is more crearive freedom with newer consoles. Newer consoles can do things that hardqare back then couldnt. I agree the games themselves are still more fun but at the same time they are extremely limited. I think it would be awesome to take the fun of those games and apply the graphics larger map etc to them. Im pretty stoked for Spyro remastered

For those who complain about the smaller jump from ps3 to ps4... The problem is the racing game genre itself. Car models can't be improved that much anymore. To see the real jump, just compare some other game types. But even there, the jumps will become smaller and smaller in future.. New game mechanics would be a real deal now, not only technical aspects, that's what will make a game stand out.

You may not see the differences between PS3 and PS4 because of this game. But there are a lot more exclusive games on the PS4 that really make the difference ( I mean just look at Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, MARVEL Spiderman and many more)... So please, stop saying PS3 looks the same as PS4 . Thanks!

What's good about PS2 was... PS2 game cannot be played on the newer console Example like Spongebob the Movie sounds like a kids game right? But did you know in PS4 Spongebob the Movie was revamped because the game have many experiences and fun to play and it is very challenging Only true gamers would understand... Also the time that the PS2 was release it has spectacular graphics... That the other console can't do 1:35 PS2 game but it has a good graphics... Unbelievable

Could have included more games in the comparison; However, I think so: PSX: Illusion, Catalog and Masterpieces. PS2: Catalog, Gameplay and Variety. PS3: Graphics, Power, Catalog, Variety, Exclusives, Masterpieces, Free Online and Rarities. PS4: Refried, Rarities and Masterpieces. PS5:? On the run, I prefer the PSX and PS3.
