I have a lot of hate for these PS2 to HDMI adapters They all add interference with diagonal lines across the screen on my systems , whether it be the Wii to HDMI or PS2 to HDMI. This style of adapter for the og Xbox and Dreamcast from these guys work a treat, so assume this PS2 is of similar quality without interference.
Bitfunnx has become a regular name in my household. I just got the ps2 adapter and so far so good. I have not noticed the green look, it may differ from tv to tv. Nice video as always!
I think the only problem of the PS2 to HDMI is that the colors are more washed out when compared to component. Something that can be somewhat fixed by messing around with your TV color settings. I know because I have the Kaico variant of it. I honestly did not like the green tint of the Bitfunx HDMI judging by this video, I prefer the washed out look since it's more neutral. However, the actual image quality between these HDMI adaptors and component is the same because the adaptors are converting the component Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr analog signal to digital. Most people confuse the color palette differences with image quality.
one thing to note is that the PS2 to HDMI doesn't support "240p", so ps1 games and some ps2 games (ico and megaman x collection come to mind) don't work with it. now, i don't have the bitfunx adapter, but it should work no problem with those games at least on RGB mode.
Did you get it? And how was your experience? I want the product but it has a problem which is cutting and whenever I see a review of the product no one talks about this problem and this is frustrating but I hope it is a defect in my eyes
@@hectormontalvo5565 Well, I think I will buy it, but I have a question, do you have a site that collects some games in a file so that I download the games and they are working + What is the best external hard drive on the PlayStation 2 Fat? And I'm sorry for the many questions😅
@@bsam.9 no problem but again I can't help you I've an extensive PS2 disc collection I don't download games so I don't know where to direct you. As for an external hd for PS2 fat I have the slim model. But I've seen videos on you tube about such devices including Wicked Gamer And Collector. Again I'm sorry that I'm of no help pal.😞
Hoi. 🙇🏽♂️
@@roylagziel8126 Everything else is better, the little PS2TOHDMI dongle limits the 60FPS to 30/25HZ so quite awful in that regard, but i don't play any sports games so idk, may vary.
I love the cheap PS2 TO HDMI converter. Its so cheap and outperforms most of the ones in the $30-$50 price range. Its no Retrotink but those cost a whole lot of $$$.
If it weren't for the green tint the better one to get would defiantly be the Bitfunx one to get. The other one looks like it could easily get broken with the input bit stuck in the port.
Do any of these newer solutions even are compatible with PS1 games? I just have lots of troubles finding that perfect one that will output 480p and 240p
Been bought that thing since last year. RGB signal went total garbage, only YPbPr can be used and this thing doesn't support PS1 console. Currently I have RGB SCART to HDMI adapter but the problem is that adapter box is begin to becoming malfunction after being used about a year.
One issue with the old cheap hdmi adapter is they only output 480p, so regardless of what the game is outputting, your TV is getting a 480p signal and upscaling that, which isn't going to give you a well scaled image
7:30 Bitfunx scale it to 720p/1080i, the PS2 to HDMI only converts componet signal to max resolution as 480p/576i. I have the issue with lower resolution like 240p in the "PS2 to HDMI" Funny Thing this dongle PS2 to HDMI works with PS3 at 1080p component signal XD
I play all my games via GSM on FreeMcBoot. The PS2 then outputs native 480p/720p far superior to the RAD2X's line doubling and Bob de-interlacing. A tiny handful of games dont work with GSM tho'.
Please answer i really want to know this: whats the point of the little usb powercable if it gives me the same quality without it and works without it? Mag ook in het NL
I have a unit of that black dongle PS2 TO HDMI. It works well, however after like a month of use, suddenly the sound output become broken, crappy and over volume. I thought it was a cable, or a TV, but when I switched back to direct feed from PS2 to TV, the problem is gone, which indicate that dongle malfunction. Anyone has similar problem?
question do you have the bitfunx cable for ps1 and ps2 that has switch that swap between the rgb signal and YPbPr its in a blue box that say's hdmi adapter for ps1/2, if you could test it cause apreantly it suport 240 and upscales it 1080p but i am curious how does it do it and if is it as bad as the generic scart upscaler or the hyperkin cables (but i mena do they use the bad upscaling design for vcrs and consoles)
Do you know if this works in a normal monitor, currently I have the ps2tohdmi and another one from hd matrers, the output resolution seems standard and only accepted by TVs, in your video I see it's a Tv monitor. Does it work with a standard pc monitor?
Is that the PS1 PS2 compatible bitfunx to HDMI adapter for $19 off AliExpress does it work on PlayStation 1 games on any setting when you put the PS1 game in the PS2 3000 model please do a video on the best quality PS1 PS2 dongles up to 20 dollars to find the best quality especially ones that work on PlayStation 2 when you put PS1 games in it please do a video on this thank you I enjoy your videos
Hi I connected my bitfunx to a. New LG monitor. It turns and the game plays. But I have no audio coming from it At all. Do you happen to know a fix for this. Volume is all the way up on it
That is one weird thing going on. Did you have some problem with original cable ? Try other monitor if that doesn't work maybe something wrong with dongle. Maybe dirty connector or the bitfunx did not fit well in the console ?
I'm literally tossing my ps2 and games away. I'll just play remasters and emulation. There's not an adapter in the world that will let me use it with my 1080p 4k only tv that you can't find 3.5mm composite adapters for.
Bitfunx looks 'warmer' on the colors. Both dongles looks good to me. Got my Ps2 tot hdmi over a year in house, never got to the point to play with it. /iamashamed
