PS4 Slim, beep once, blue light turns on for a second then off. 

All of us got the same issue at almost the same time.

Mine cut off mid game it did that after unplugging it and plug it back in pulled it apart and checked power supply one of the really small components on the power supply board was burnt and jumped spark to another prong my buddy had a extra power supply with same model number put it in and it worked perfectly now waiting on new power supply to come in so I can play again

I get that often on and I hate it anyway to do something so it won't do it again? Heck I've kept it unplugged for at least 2 weeks and it still.does that.

I got the same problem I leave mine in sleep mode If it turns off it takes at least 15 mins to get it to power on 😫😫

Same thing is happening to mine but i notice it does this and then when i check back hours later it turns on and then when i turn it back off it does the same thing again until i get lucky and it chooses to let me turn it on…i feel like sony is messing with these systems Edit: mine seems to be fixed, ive played it 7 times without it giving problems. How i fixed it you may ask well it could be one of two things 1st thing i tried was pressing the power botton in the morning when i wake and it gave me the beep and the light came off...then 4 hours later i pressed it and it came on...anyhow i played it for like 2 hours then i put it in rest mode then powered it back on (it came on fine) and soon as it came on i restarted it (restarted fine with no problems) the next day when i woke up i pressed the button and it came on fine until in the night i tried turning it on again and it didnt. 2nd method.. i had my ps4 close to the floor and my floor is tiled so i put it far above from the ground and after i did that i had no more problems and its been couple days now without problems so i dont know if me having the ps4 close to the groud made the power supply get cold at nights making it difficult to start

there are all mixed opinions in the comments section, some what say power supply, some say power cord, some say motherboard issue. totally confused

Take out the ribbon drive and try again. Sometimes, when the ribbon drive is damaged, it will turn off quickly and not turn on again in order not to damage the PlayStation.

It means something inside isn’t right. For me when i got this, it was my motherboard that overheated and burned. It can also be other components like the power supply.

On mine I just put two washers under each screw that holds the cpu cooler onto the cpu and tightened it down really good and problem solved

Seems like a POWER SUPPLY issue but can also be a result of a bad HARD DRIVE. Hold PWR BUTTON for 7-10secs it should beeped 2 times after 2nd beeps release button to see if it'll go n2 SAFE MODE?

How I fixed mine was if there’s a disk I manually ejected it and took the hdd out and turn it on and I worked it said can find storage so I turned it off and put the hdd back in and it works fine

Just fixed my PS4 it was a power supply issue, but my tv and my ps4 use the similar power cables so i switched the one i use for my tv and plugged it into my ps4 and plugged the ps4 cable into the tv and they both still work

Had the same problem. So I took it to GameStop to have them try there power cord ( or pre-owned power cords) and it started to work... Few days later I cleaned PS4 and it started to do same power problem. :(

My ps4 also wont turn on after one beep sound and the blue light died after. I removed the top cover to check the fan and it doesnt work. The way i fixed it is remove all connected cables including the power cable. I pressed the power button for about a minute and connect the power cable and hdmi again. Then i pressed the eject button to check if there is a sound. When i pressed the power button, it turns on back to normal. I think it is just a bug on the software just like PC. You just need to juiced up the remaining current in the system.

It’s likely the screws that tighten the cpu/gpu in place tighten them or loosen them a bit and try works for most ppl

Mines doing this cause my moms husband unplugged my playstation when I was in the bathroom and he didn't full turn it off so I'm trying to find a video on how to fix it

I fixed it! 1 = You open the top of ur ps4 2 = Use the spray on the fan 3 = get some water and a towel then go around the fan 4 = Let it dry 5 = Try adjusting the power cable 6 = Leave it rest for a day! WELCOME

I had the same issue. I noticed that if u turn power supply off then on, try it again it might stay on.., if not , put a fan on warn blowing on the cover were the main fan is ,, u might have to take cover off, let the fan warm the metal sheet under the cover whilst power to the wall or outlet is off., once the metal sheet is warmish, turn main power back on, then try turn console on . It worked for me .., but now experiencing different problems please let me know if it help !

GUYS!! I know an easy fix for this. It is temporary but you can do it again. If your PlayStation does this, unplug the power cable and the USB cables and leave it there for 30min or 1 hour max, and then plug it all in, take a Hairdryer and blow it on the ps4 wait 10 to 15 seconds nd turn it on. Thank me later

Its a easy fix this happens when you pull your power cord out without properly turning off your game. An easy fix is the couple seconds the blue light cuts on just keep on spamming the power on button. Or try manually spinning the fan inside the game and then press the power button

It overheated, or dust is messing with the fans. Just let it sit, or vacuum.
