as a PS fanboy. I'm actually very tempted to moving to xbox because some of their games look so fun and their main UI looks great. But I'm also a spiderman fanboy, and sucker punch fanboy, and I can't buy both. You can probably see the problem.

And if you ever want to try out any xbox first party you don't explicitly have to buy a $500 console. You can simply play them on PC or invest in xcloud. You have TONS of options.👍

Also, the few times I've played on a PlayStation, I've hated using the controller. Even if I could afford to buy a second console for the few PS exclusives I want to play, I wouldn't want to use their controller to play them.

Surprisingly, Bethesda getting bought by Microsoft gave me a warm feeling, in that not only will Bethesda see more success, but may also have better quality to their games. I hope the best for Bethesda.

I would argue yes. Guerilla games can't even create a compotent port so clearly being locked to the most basic B console has caused the devs of previously good developers to lose their touch.

I personally like all 3 consoles. I think it makes sense to have exclusives. It sucks for other players of course, however videogames are still an industry and require money.

Sony is the reason why exclusivity exists. They are the ones who hold the most third party exclusives for the longest time. They are the reason why every beta, DLC, or game releases are delayed on every other platform because of their timed exclusivity deals. They are the only ones that forbid cross-play in their games for no other reason than greed. They are the ones who increase the game prices for the same quality.

I don’t even really care for any of the Bethesda games personally. If I do decide to play then I’ll just buy an Xbox Series X, I was gonna get both originally anyway

@@farishakim6759 No, you only can play the game whilst it's part of the Game Pass Library and your subscription is ongoing. But you do get it at a discount price if you decide to buy. I've not seen MS store have the kind of sales Steam has though. And there is one more issue... You don't get DLCs, it's not part of the Ultimate Subscription. And they have a load of Paradox games, whose business model is to release a bare bones product at full price, then release a truck load of DLC to get the actual game they were working on at a total cost of 4 times the price they released at. But it's no different to the likes of Netflix, you pay a subscription and use their service as much as you want.

I will say God of War is worth it though (from what I've seen haven't played it) but to me i find xbox's future first party more interesting, you got racing (horizon and motorsport) you got shooter first and 3rd person, RPGs, linear story driver games (hell blade). You got a bunch of platformers. They just have more variety in their games

Too bad for him because Sony and Nintendo didn't want to play nice, so Microsoft is doing what they have to do to compete. If Game Pass becomes even more popular even more studios might join Microsoft. Overall the subscription model will be a better value for gamers who play enough games and want to play them day one. I also like that you can still buy games without getting Game Pass. In the end, I will end up getting Game Pass. Its a fixed budget for games and if they continue to roll out great games then why not.

I'm a PlayStation player and I wish that all the platforms can have those games. I seriously HATE exclusives, but just because MS gets a lot of hate for not having exclusives, I'm actually glad that the Bethesda buy out happened.

If we are being honest most of their games aren’t doing anything overly original with their gameplay. I think Spider-Man was objectively good, but I’ve done this before. I played the Arkham games and even before that we had Spider-Man 2 and Ultimate Spider-Man in the ps2 era. Truly there is nothing new under the sun.
I will admit though, the only reason why I bought ps4 and will buy ps5 is because I own a pc and the exclusives are very good. (God of War, red dead, spider man etc.) But im glad xbox has bethesda 👍

In all seriousness, though, I don't understand why people care what companies do. We got both this generation and while the PS4 was the most used console for a while, then it kind of became an 'exclusive machine' when game pass and the switch came out. But that's our experience. That doesn't make one better than another, but each has its strength and weakness andt that will persist. I hope Xbox does well this next generation simply because I want them to pressure Sony into given their customers more for their money...a better game subscription service, a better online experience, etc. There are a lot of older PS games I never played because I didn't own the consoles. In the end it's all about buying the console (or consoles) that have the games you want on them. If Sony can have exclusives, then so can MS.

Also funny enough his second example was Elder Scrolls which was an Xbox exclusive. I believe Morrowind (3rd Elder scrolls game) was an exclusive for the original Xbox

I only play in PlayStation since I was a kid and got used to it , tried to play Xbox and didn’t like the controller since I got used to Sony for so many years not the console itself. I will buy these games in pc when it comes out. And I don’t like exclusives at all from either side but it became a marketing tool for consoles. Can’t do much with that. Namco was saved when Bandai came in and merged with them, but in the process Nintendo got one of their studios in the stock buyback. Monolith Soft, known for the Xeno franchise, which now makes it exclusively for Nintendo under the Xenoblade name as well as working on Zelda and other projects such as a new ambitious action rpg they are working on. It's one of Nintendo's best and biggest studios now, making some of their most ambitious story driven games.

PS fanboys have been the most entitled for a while now, especially since the PS4's launch. I remember watching videos of Bloodborne and PS fans gloating about it's exclusivity and telling people that if they didn't like it to buy a PS4. Then I'd watch videos for Bayonetta 2 on the WiiU and Killer Instinct for the Xbone and the same type of PS fanboys would be saying shit like "this game should be on PS4 too" or "this system doesn't deserve this game, it should be on PS4 instead." Honestly it's one of the things that turns me off of Playstation. The only exclusives I really care about on PS are the occasional From software joint, so buying one just for that would be pretty costly, but I just accept it and move on. PS fanboys can't do that it hurts their ego too much.

In my humble opinion I am happy that Xbox gets new Bethesda exclusives as a Playstation owner. I liked Wolfenstein 1 and I really do not fit in the Bethesda target either way I like seeing good competition. Hell maybe New Vegas can get made.

@@zybch When you see a game of that production being free to play you should be aware it will have some kind of microtransaction, and it's still better than shit like loot boxes in full priced games. Genshin Impact didn't do as much damage as Overwatch with their gambling loot boxes, or SW Battlefront with its insane grinding(and also lootboxes), Shadow of War's grinding walls. It's pathetic that Echelon thinks he's some kind of trailblazer when these MMOs with mobile mechanics were already present on PC for a long time.

I played xbox all the time and it was a fun experience. I want to get the Ps5 just for a change. I'm a Xbox fan but I know for a fact that all consoles that Sony and Microsoft put out are just good in their own ways. Just be happy what you got and deal with it. Let's be honest here. If Sony bought Zenimax, and that's really big IF, New Fallout and Elder Scrolls games would not be released on PC for years if at all. On what platform majority of Fallout/TES players are on? PC by very big margin. That's because of mods. If we look at mods on console versions of Fallout 4 Xbox One has more mods including some of necessary mods that aren't even available on PS4 because of Sony's paranoid restrictions.

The problem is that in their eyes, Sony can do no wrong ever. Microsoft gets bashed for buying Bethesda and not building their own IP’s from scratch, yet most/all of Sony’s major exclusives were from studios they bought. I remember playing Spider-Man games on my Xbox 360 and now Spider-Man games are only on PS and that’s apparently fine but Microsoft possibly making ES6 exclusive is a huge sudden issue. It's honestly not even a big deal. Bethesda hasn't exactly been stellar and they spent a crap load of cash on the acquisition. Playstation has a ton of stuff to be excited about. The meltdowns make absolutely zero sense..
@@CL33R Didn't think Fallout 4 was up to standard even for the time. That engine is in dire need of a change and it wasn't as good as either Fallout 3 or Vegas (imo) Doom is fantastic. Probably the best thing that came out of Bethesda since 2010 with Skyrim. Although I do have a soft spot for Evil Within as well..
Ideally, I would like to see the only exclusives to be timed exclusives. But I don't see that it's fair that one console should be allowed to have consoles, but another not.

I agree. I think any exclusive on any platform is stupid. I think these companies are leaving 100's of millions of $ on the table when they do this. Sure, there are games that are good enough to make someone want to go out and buy that console just to play it, but the number of people that actually do that (or can afford to do that) compared to the number of people that would buy the game if they could buy it on the console they already own doesnt even compare. I havent done the math or have any real proof on paper, but I think its pretty safe to say that millions of copies of games that wouldve been bought would far out weigh the number of consoles bought in $. Just imagine how many 10's of millions of more copies of something like Breath of the Wild wouldve sold if PC, Xbox and PS people couldve bought that game on their platform. Im sure theres some people who bought a Switch just for that game but theres no way enough people did to make more money being exclusive than the money they wouldve got had anyone been able to buy it. No way.

And they got it, however, anyone who plays the Rom version for more than 20 hours and didn't buy a physical copy... Should just buy a copy for the switch and have it with them. It's just the good thing to do. Now, does it affect me? Not really. I own a switch, and prefer to play Nintendo games on it. Because while I love my PC... I also wanna support my favourite games. If they released on PC officially from Nintendo... I dunno if I'd personally go there. When I was on a business trip, I couldn't bring my PC. Thing weighs a crap ton because it's custom liquid cooled in a steel case. But I was able to bring my switch no problem and play Zelda there. Graphics aren't everything, minecraft is one of my top games because gameplay is just so good.
