Here's a few tips in case you don't know. Pressing punch and kick at the same time will make you crouch. Pressing kick while crouched will do the iconic bomb kick attack. Pressing punch while crouched will do a hard uppercut attack. Pressing punch and kick while in the air will do the iconic tornado kick. Pressing down plus kick on a stunned opponent will do a devastating flurry of kicks (to the best of my knowledge this game and it's subsequent versions such as the android and zeebo versions are the only ones that have this). Juggles are possible in this game. Down plus kick in the air does a divekick.
Hate this game, I think the graphics and ideas are cool but its just poorly executed and a real chore to play through. All double dragons have a level of challenge that you can overcome, this one just aims to rob you every chance it gets. Most of the enemies also have a 1 second hit time period after you knock them down where you cant damage them. But the player doesnt, which results in a lot of enemies waiting for you to get up and just knocking you right back down before you can do anything. Collision detection is piss poor, often your attacks will just go right thru enemies while theres connect everytime. Make the game challenging not frustrating.
C'mon, There's far worse versions out there, plus this was the only DD on GBA, So i'm glad it's out there. I'd rather play this over Rosetta Stone any day😅
