My PS5 got the blue light of death and couldn't fix it myself. No video output, can't go to safe mode.
I had to submit a repair request to Sony and since it was out of warranty I had to pay around $230 to get it fixed.
They ship you a box with a return label. Make sure you don't have an SSD installed and if you can remove the disc do so (or make a note of it in the form).
Drop it off at a FEDEX (shipping is free).
It will take about up to 2 weeks for your unit to be repaired and shipped back to you.
The biggest pain was submitting a repair request as you have to go through a lot of questions before you can do so.
Hope this helps!
