Men thank very much for all the information im waiting for my new play station 5 and is going to be my first console. Many years ago my little cousin had the first play station and I used to play with him and 30 years later I going to have my own lol😂.

The deal with the stand was the included one was only going to be horizontal, you have to pay extra to put the system vertical, which sucks, but not like we haven’t had to do that in the past

@@tarheelpro87 I could probably rest on its side without a stand without a problem, like the PS2, ps3 and ps4 could. But it would probably tip over very easily just like those systems would if you didn't have a stand. I learned that lesson on my ps2 and accidentally bumping into my desk. Have used a stand on each of mine ever since.

Honestly the original design is already good enough, they should've just made the aspect ratio a bit smaller, but this new revision looks more of a hassle even from expert teardowns I've seen on RU-vid

I'm curious whether the HDMI 2.1 bandwidth will increase from the current 32Gbps to 40 or 48Gbps or stay the same With 4K 120Hz output, the current model outputs compressed YUV instead of RGB output.

Why don't u wait for the ps6 because there's still no games that push the regular PS5 to its limit there's really going to be no point to get the pro when the games are going to come out for it it's the same thing as the regular PS5

I bought this bundle .. sold my god of war ragnarok edtion took out the 4tb ssd wasn't a bout to sell that with it . But I essentially wanted the spider man edtion one but all they had was call of duty 3 modern ware fare .. but the system is way light plus its really sleek .

For anyone who actually got the PS5 Slim Disc edition I have a question. I want to buy one but I travel a lot and my WiFi access is slow. The registering for the disc drive does it take a long time? Is it a big download?

Pros and cons to it Pro: -the slim design actually doesn’t look that bad and 1tb from 825gigs I guess is ok but I feel like games are getting more space hungry so in the end 1tb doesn’t feel like enough space to justify much 🤷🏽‍♂️ Cons - your original PS5 warranty is is finished so if something was to happen with your original PS5 you’d be buying a new one outright, at least with the trade in you do in a way save yourself because you do get a new warranty with the new PS5 🤷🏽‍♂️

can you play physical DISC games without being connected to internet/Wi-Fi ? Can you also play digital games you purchased without being connected to internet ?

You need internet for your digital games, in all consoles as far as I'm aware.

The only thing you need to be connected to the internet for is periodically anything you might have gotten as apart of PS Plus, because the games are going to be timestamped with an expiration date that is synced to the system clock. Anything that you buy out right generally won't have an expiration date to see if you have a valid license. You only need to connect this disc version to the internet to validate the disc drive, probably some kind of security to keep people from modding it so they can run burned or region locked disc games on it, after that your fine offline unless you ended up factory resetting or installing another drive on it.

I’m not trying to take anything away from this unboxing but I never understood why people kept calling it slim because sony themselves in the newsletter didn’t even call it the slim since they’re replacing the old model ps5 with these “new” models.

Slim was a fan name for the PS3 and PS4 revisions. The only consoles Sony named “slim” were the PS2 Slimline and the PSP slim and light (2000).

Everyone did the same for the PS4, too. Sony themselves just referred to the newer models as PS4 / PS4 Pro, but everyone called it a Slim to distinguish it from the launch model.

The PS5 needs to connect to the Internet so it can recognize and register the Disk Drive.

Between the 2 side covers, there are holes for the plastic stands. You push them in those holes, and they will not slide or fail off.

It doesn’t look any different. It’s a few inches shorter when you set it up. That’s pretty much it. Oh, It has enough extra space for like one extra game on the hard drive lol. I’ll keep my digital edition original. 🎉

What botered me is that ridiculous plastic stands for the horizontal mode. Imagine you lost one or both of them and you dont bought the vertical stand, you have to put something else under the Ps5. I think thats ridiculous.

Great video. I would not recommend people who likes phisical media to get this version, get the original for that matter, if you only care about digital games then go ahead get the slim. 14:05 if you reset your console is gonna ask you to do the set up again so yea not a good idea from sony. This is gonna be an issue when the servers for the ps5 shut down.

First model is much better than this model because model get half side glossy finish which means this model get easily filled with scratches from glossy side

Yes you need to conect to the internet to use your disc drive and if you factor reset your console, it's gonna ask you to register the drive again, so yea it is a terrible decisión from sony.

@@checob224 Then get a PS5 Fat instead since the drive is married to the Board, however with the Slim. since Sony wanted Modularity, had to abide the law. jeez can you not understand? Sony cant just magically flip the Law so the Drives can work without the Internet Authentication, There isnt really anything they can do about it.

more storage is marginal, its like less than 200 more gigs, so like a game and a half. You could spend $125-150 and get a 2TB SSD in the OG and have significantly more storage.

I find it funny that they replace the USB-A port in the front for a USB-C Port but the included charging cable for the controller is still USB-A to USB-C. Yes, you can charge at the back, but it's way less pratical. Not a detail they noticed?

Think somebody think that at some point when the system doesn't connect to the PSN servers anymore because Sony decided to sunset it, people think they will still be using this thing and wont be able to play their games on it anymore. It's the Cbomb thing.
