Good to have Dr. Lawson back I love the way Martyn Lloyd Jones talks about this Psalm. He speaks to the essential difference between Christian and non Christian. It isn't just that the Christian gets up early on Sunday while the other sleeps in. Psalm 1 really gives us some of those essential differences as it goes along.
Q: What IF particular or most verses of Psalms were conversations, pleas, acknowledgments, praise and encouragements between the Father, the Son and the HS and are mostly recorded/transcribed words between them pre-world, incarnation of Jesus, etc. WHAT would happen and how would we love and see the Triune God even more... when we could read and hear conversations they had IF Psalms were studied wholly in that light just one time...rather than centering around David or m an??? Those many pronouns are there for a reason to unravel Who said What to Who and possibly when......AND it all begins with Psalms ..the description of the Incarnate Lord Jesus..Who said what to Whom? ...and as SL correctly said of Psalms 1.1 it is the "golden thread that runs through the book of Psalms." the golden thread ie, "the clue." The descriptive verse 1 there is only 1 man, 1 God who this describes and it is none of us, no matter what holy religious activity that we think we can do....verse 1 is descriptive of one Person only and it is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the next question is...Who is actually saying this about the Son????
