In poetic beauty Psalm 29 describes the strength of a storm and sees the voice and power God expressed. Here is a link to David Guzik's commentary on Psalm 29: enduringword.c...
Tq pastor David for explaining Psalm 29 so clearly. As for myself, from young. I used to be afraid of thunder and lightening. Till nowI always whispered a prayer repeatedly for God to take away the thunder and lightening but just give a sufficient rain and I am certain God always hear my prayers. I always praise God for that answer.
12:27, Jesus beautiful character and personality, I can imagine the joy of being around Him at that time. I know people imperfect as we all are) and yet radiate joy and is such a delight to be in their company, much more Jesus, I Imagine, triple, trie, triple more. God bless everyone.
What a wonderful Psalm, such a good exposition, praise God. ..."the strength and authority of God's voice is connected to His Word. If the voice of God has such power, then the words that are uttered with that voice has the same strength and authority". "The Word of God communicates the voice of the Lord...the voice of the Lord has strength,,authority,,reveals who He is" 15:38,,,wow I did not know the deepness of this Psalm, it taught me to appreciate God's Holy Book more and reverence it more. Thank you Pr. Guzik , glory be all to God,Amen.
I had never seen this before. Lately I have been fixated on God's voice because I had read this book by David W Lowe. "Then His Voice Shook the Earth" based on Hebrews 12:26 and just marvel the power it has. Since then I have seen other places also. Like Isiaha 24, Mark 9:2-8 John 18:6 Mt. Sinai Now, this chapter. Thank you for your teachings. Being blessed.
Lord, I ask for a new filling of your Holy Spirit. Let me hear the thunder of your voice. I ask for a new song to be birthed in me as I study & read your word. As I play your song, let people be drawn to you, seek you and find you. Lord-You be glorified, you be exalted. Praise your holy name.
He's the father in creation, he's the son in redemption, he's the holy ghost in regeneration. His name is Jesus mark 12 29. Det 6 4. Hear o Isreal the lord are God is one. Just like everyone you have a spirit you are a son or daughter and you can be a father or mother and we all have a name
Hello and "Thank You" from the bottom of my heart for this teaching on Psalms 29....just listening about His Glory due His Name and His Magesty made me cry. I am a 67 year old living alone but have been a Christian for over 40 years. I am so glad I ran across your teachings, I look forward to listening to them all. I thank you for your enthusiasm and zeal for the Lord, we surely in such a dry and thirsty land need the PURE WORD OF GOD. I lived in California for 5 years and I am so happy to see some Godly people are living there. Prayers are with you and your loved ones.
Magnificent! I also love, & am so moved by, the 'storm'y verses in Psalm 18:1-19...a very precious & powerful picture of God going ballistic, in His wrath over His child in trouble...His love compelling Him to go, go ,go from Heaven to earth, reaching down to rescue His child. Since I first read those verses, years ago, I think the following thoughts when I hear thunderstorms..."i love You, too, Lord!" OR "Well, the Lord must be on a rescue mission right now!" Praise Yahweh! Thank you so much, Pastor... for all your messages! Your love for God & His Word is contagious! :)
Beautiful thoughts. Grew up near Houston. Plenty of rain, lightning and thunder. It is beautiful and powerful, but nothing like God's voice as presented here. Thanx.
Most of the time when it storms at night, I will sit on my porch and hear the thunder, see the lightning and feels the wind and rain. I pray and there always something special that happens just to be in the midst of God's power and refreshing. I love praying in the storms.
Thank you, thank you and thank you. My storm has definitely been lifted upon hearing you speak on Psalm 29. I was having a problem understanding who was considered the "o mighty ones", but you truly cleared that up for me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge so effectively.💫
Pastor Guzik what do you mean "the King James not a good translation"? That passage isn't the best translated in the King James or the King James is a poor translation?
The King James version of the Bible doesn't use a modern English that most English speakers use in 2023. Sometimes we have to do a bit of research to translate the English of the 1600's into the English of the 2000's. The New King James build upon the great work of the KJV, and brings it into our modern English.
Praise God for your explanation of Psalm 29, God Bless It leveled up my understanding on Psalm 29, God empowers His children with the strength of thunder and peace in the midst of storm
By the way you do have a way of saying stuff that makes me smile or kinda happy listen to a song for me it's called Dear God by Dax, I know random but it was released this year it's a conversation with God within a song and I wanna see you react to it
