This video is 10 years and people only recently commented? Well, better late than never. Also did you take the video from the game files directly? I want to try taking the DC version and upscale it a bit.
Hey! Yea people comment randomly, more so on phantasy star music ^^ If I remember correctly I took this from the DC or GC version, extracted the videos from that, not sure if I upscaled around that time.
@@L2Nuku Phantasy Star has been behind in term of JRPGs (not gonna call it "niche" but it's not too far from it)/ I am not an expert at game file formats on GD-rom and GC discs but is it easy to convert to something that RU-vid can read or is it already in a compatible format? As for the upscaling I need a program but I believe those aren't free sadly and my computer lacks space for an eventual 4K file.
@@ikagura Phantasy Star is still my fave jrpg series, it did many things before others at the times and spoiled me (hence I really haven't enjoyed other jrpgs as much). As for DC and GC file formats, you'll need quite a few tools to convert/extract it all, I have no idea what I used at the time, but I suggest checking out the Xentax forums for tools n such. For upscaling I used VirtualDub (freeware) but you'll need to get used to it working with it and it doesn't support many different video formats unless you use scripts and such, so maybe not recommended, and yes 4k videos will take up quite some space depending on the compression used.
@@L2Nuku Well yeah, I'm still fan of PSO, what it brought to online gaming on consoles and because I love scifi space opera in general. I've recently finished PS Zero for the second time in like a decade and it was quite fun (I still prefer PS Portable 2 and PSO over it but it's still a good action RPG nonetheless).
