Hello guys , in this video I'm introducing a plugin called 'PSP States'
This plugin will help you to save your game's progress at any time ( just like you do on emulators )
Note : this plugin requires a custom firmware inorder to work.
This plugin is not compatible with the PSP 1000 models due to the lack of ram.

This might be usefull for creating shortcuts to individual games from the different PSP compilations like Midway Arcade Treasures, Taito Legends, Atari Classics, etc. Start up a game from one of the compilations, create a savestate, and find out a way of creating a PSP shortcut where you launch the game and it automatically uses that savestate.

So i did everything, when i try to save in local/global it just closes the statesmenu and doesnt save at all, no crash no nothing. Tried turning off the other plugins but its the same. EDIT: So i had the *6.35* update on the psp when i commented and it seems that was the problem. After updating it to *6.61* it WORKED and there are no problems for now.

I had a save button in a Chinese version of a psp. Could save at any moment and helped me redo any action from the save point, for any game on the psp. Unfortunately it broke, tried to find another version like that. Couldn't. Was one of a kind!

Unfortunately it's not working for me. It's just saving but when i load it, it crashes the game. By the way i am using Ctf 6.61 ME. And playing Gta Vcs. Can anyone recommend me another way?

I am also playing GTA VCS and it doesn't work for me. The psp crashes and shuts down when I try to play the game 1) right after saving and 2) from the load state.

Little late, but try going into states_menu_pict_mod.ini and changing StatePlugin = "pspstates_kai_mod_umdid.prx" to StatePlugin = "pspstates_kai_mod.prx", that got it working on mine

this would make the game less challenging like god of war chains of olympus when you only first allowed to save after fight the dragon. by the way, love your plugins!

Thank you :D For me it was the GTA games , you weren't allowed to save in between the missions and if you die you'd have to play it again from scratch

This will be very useful since many of the games in my psp have a bug that doesn't allow you to create a savedata, like naturo, or tony hawks pd (original plugin link doesnt work anymore)

I tried this with Duke Nukem 3d homebrew port since that port saves the level you're on but not the weapons, ammo and current position you had on that level, essentially starting at the beginning of the level with a pistol. Sadly, it didnt work, It just restarts my psp when i select local load :(

It's not meant for ps1 games , it'll work only on PSP games

It's just not made for PS1 , that's why I never added it to the pops.txt . It only works for PSP and homebrew games

I got it to work with games that I play from the memory stick, but does it work with an original UMD? I confess that I already tried with the Prince of Persia Rival Swords UMD, it did save the state but the console crashed when it tries to go back to the game. When I try to load the game, the thumbnail of where I saved my state is correct, proving that it indeed saved the game, but when I try to load it crashes the console again.

Thank u, i play crisis core final fantasy VII, and there is no way to skip cutscenes, and sometimes if my hero dies i have to watch them because there aint no save marker after them and before fight. Hope this plugin will help me.

Not necessarily , but it's recommended to do so . Otherwise it might take really long just to save.

Some games might have compatibility issues. Also there are no alternate plugins that works on the latest firmwares .

There isn't , but there is a small chance that it might work on the 1000 ( but it might crash the game after sometime )

@@pspmav haha awesome. I just found out right now thanks. I also realized if you have a PSP GO and you're opening a paused game it won't work. Only works if you open the game from standalone. Not sure if you covered that already but in case anyone needed to know that. 👍

whole system shuts down when trying to make local save in gta lcs, cpu set to 333mhz, any ideas whats the problem? Im also running the game in 60 fps so my guess would be that console cant handle so much but maybe you have other ideas...
