This a astonishing demonstration, It´s absolutely amazing how Bert could demonstrate how to program a style in such little time. Congratulations Bert, that was superb! The communication, the steps of the demo, everything was very, very impressive!
I work with Yamaha PSR-S770, apply this tutorial, and wow... It takes 7 months to be good like this video! But after that, it's real quick to make our music style. Cheers :)
That was really great. Thank you for the wonderful demo. Couldn't have found a better tutorial elsewhere, to create styles for my psr s-710. It worked perfectly. Good work. Thanks. :)
Thank you for sharing this ,it's will help to myself and my band because we only use the keyboard to play all instruments but this is the best way to me
Please filmed more video tutorials about programming in the whole series of Yamaha arranger workstations keyboards, Thanks Mr Smorenburg for this demo!!
Endlich mal ein Video, das zeigt, dass selbst Yamaha den Style-Meister Korg Paroli bieten kann. Ich machs selber auch schon jahrelang am Tyros 3 - dort funktioniert es genau so - und muss sagen: Yes, it works ...
+Suradj Bhattoe nearly 4 x the cost of e443. More complicated to work but many mote functions. I got the s770 a month ago and I'm writing songs on it a lot, 14 so far, also it audio records my saxophone very nicely into cd quality wav.
Today I was in a music shop and have tried it out. For the style creation it takes up to 32 bars per pattern so you can make styles which are very rich in variety. That's fine :-)
YAY! BERT SMORENBURG AGAIN!! Yamaha sales are gonna rise now :) Yamaha marketing team - if you're smart you're gonna ask Bert to do more videos. He did great videos for MM6 which convinced me to buy it. So better hurry.
Yes, 88 keys it'll be great, and 76 keys semi-weighted is a nice solution for an arranger keyboard like this one, not as long and heavy if you have to move frequently from gig to gig. 9000 pro was and still is a great keyboard, but we need a newer substitute for it already.
I've had Yamaha PSR keyboards and they refuse to die. Wife says when it dies you can have a new one. Fifteen years later I'm disconnecting power in side 👀 I love you and my Yamaha modx 6.
It does indeed! Korg will never know what lies inside of a PSR or a Tyros! I have a PSR3000 for about 1 year and i know very much about programming and such! But still now i dont know how to use its Step-Recorder and esit all its parameters cuz hte PSR can be used as a MIDI Controller so then its normal to contain a lot of parameters and things! For example i have a demo where drums has an automatic PAN function only for the crash, snare and bass made all with the parameters of the step-recorder!
Great explaining. Is it possible to make the same video for Tyros 5 (or other versions of tyros, it will be the same I think). Thanks a lot. You may also do it in Dutch if possible, otherwise english is also good.
Im also looking at the PA3X 76keys which have powerful features and you can make your own styles aswell, also the new BK-9 arranger 76 key system which does alot too and a great price.
I tryed the PA3x by Korg this afternoon. I brought my Headphones (AKG 275) because they didn't have good monitoring. And I can tell U that the S750 sounds better, more realistic than the PA3x. The Korg has good sounds but the difference is 3200€ - 1200€ = 2000€!!! The keys are hawful on Yamaha butas some one said U can plug Ur favorite keyboard via MIDI!!!
Why don't you like the BK-9 it is using the real Super Natural sounds not just samples where you have to worry about how much memory you have all the time to get good sound. Has a cool loop audio mode that will sync to your styles too.
Thanks, and God bless you! It was good, but it would have been better if you could show everything that you did in the screen with a nice view for the watcher because that is the main part. But still it's nice.
The chord progression I was intending to create was E minor, G major, D Major, A major But I can't understand how to program those chords Would appreciate if someone helped out
Can you please tell us how it is done.My yamaha S710 sits on the drum kit. Does not have an execute. You can go to the execute three sceens to the right.. "And of course" you cannot get any other track once the drums are selected!
Which is more powerful the CVP-609 or the PSR-S950. I think the CVP-609 has more voices and styles as it comes. I think the PSR-S950 can use expandtion packs, not sure about the CVP-609. I wonder if you can create your own styles on the CVP-609 too. Im looking at both of them and not sure which one I want. The CVP-609 come in 88key semi-weight keys more like a real piano.
I just wanted to ask that if it is possible that put s950 or A2000 style or voice in Motif XF? Or is that possible to covert these styles and voices to Motif XF?
Kaveh Soufi MOTIF cannot work with styles, so there is no possibility for that ;-) You need to make your own backing in Pattern-Mode, so you can change the "variation" like you would do on a S950

Very nice tut. I understand everything. But in my CH REC. I have nothing else than drums what ever I try. How do I fill the whole REC CH space? Only "RHY 2" is selected and "online". I want more instruments. Hope you guys can help.
Cool, making your own custom styles. Can the S950 use free flow styles with no beat like is being used in the new CVP-609 keyboards?????? Can the S950 record my own samples from a mic etc and play them back across the keyboard at diffent keys?
The biggest tip for Yamaha from a brand faithful user.... NB:- THIS IS FOR YAMAHA'S ARRANGERS ONLY. AND NOT FOR MOTIF OR MOXF OR S90 XS USERS. All the same features in this video were in my first arranger PSR 1000 which dates back to at least couple of years more than a decade. In fact maybe it dates back to year 2k. And that's 15 years back. Now let me point out the real thing. Yamaha has just not did any OS Upgradation since then. In fact they just altered the aesthetics, build quality, polyphony, and other unimportant features. The most important thing for a successful keyboard would be it's waveforms and multiple layers of sampling/ samples for the real representation of acoustic sounds/any sounds. And this is where KORG PA SERIES WIN THE RACE AND STILL CONTINUING THEIR LEGACY...... COMMON YAMAHA THERE RE SO MUCH OF THINGS SUCH A BIG COMPANY COULD DO, AND IF IT'S NOT DONE IN THE RIGHT TIME, BRAND FAITHFULL PEOPLE LIKE ME WOULD BE FORCED ON OTHER BRANDS..... A Frustrated Yamaha Arranger Keyboard Player......
+Jack Klein And the problem is to know HOW to play like real drummers on the keyboard, how to make it sound convincing, we, keyboardists have to learn all the instruments we don´t play, drums, bass, guitars, saxophones...in order to create good arrangements. One of the worst parts is the creation of the fill ins or a drum solo.
But he doesnt explain how to setup the rest of tge parts and how to copy main a parts to main b etc parts so you dont have to record all tge stuff many times
