You, my dude, are a legend! This was literally the best instruction video I've watched when it comes to updating or doing something software related. Very clear, concise, and easy to follow. After downgrading to 3.68 I lost all the h-encore and vitashell all together. I think its just best for those that are at version 3.73 to stay there and download the other apps instead. It works fine there too, cheers from Malaysia and love your vids man!!
For anyone wondering why after downgrading, their encore was deleted or why the vita keeps asking you to update which is preventing you from reinstalling encore here are the possible issues. One: Before you downgrade make sure you set the henkaku settings to version 3.68. (Or whatever version you are downgrading to) Two: Make sure you have Encore and Modoru installed on your internal vita storage or an official vita memory card. If you installed either of these only on your microSD card the downgrade can cause the previously mentioned issues. (Not sure how you would install encore on your microSD card only but yeah just double check that). Finally if you already downgraded and need to get your encore back, don't do anything rash, just let the vita update itself back to the latest firmware. Your encore should reappear along with any other mods that don't get erased during the downgrade process. Also your microSD card should work again after you restart the device and reboot encore. You can now proceed to follow this videos instructions just make sure you did the above steps above first.
nope, completely wipes it out, i feel this is now an extremely vital step that should be favorited/pinned by the uploader now, because it makes doing this a big hassle if you miss something like this.
I actually did this last week thanks to your videos, downgraded from 3.73 to 3.60, installed Enso for permanent hack, then installed a 128gb SD card with sd2vita.

WOW>> You are such a kind and generous and patient soul. I got everything working! I had a couple hiccups but got myself back on track. This is so great and now my Vita can use a micro SD card with the amazon adapter i ordered. That means i can keep more than 29 GB of games. I have always felt so limited with the storage situation on my vita. it actually ruined alot of the vitas charm. Well now, my Vita is alive again! Thank You, your video was so easy to follow and i cant believe you are generous enough to even offer to have random people send you their sytems and mod it for them. Or even answer help desk questions. Thank You for that.

Thanks for the tutorial! It's pretty straight forward and really useful. I was really reluctant to mod my Vita but I finally made my mind with your tutorials. Still I have one question, what is the best way (or the proper way) to play my PSN games library, should I play those games without h-encore? or is it safe to run them with h-encore active?

after i downgraded my vita all of my apps were deleted so i have to reinstall hencore and mod the vita again with the 3.68 firmware this is a huge pain in the azz because of all of the troubleshooting i have to do.
Step 1.click on the h-encore bubble. Step 2. Before pressing start press the refresh symbol just above the start button. you will see the sysem refresh on the notifaction bar the press. step 3 press the start button on the h-encore app and contiunue following the steps on the video around minute 11.01 complete the tutorial.
Followed along and get a error when i launch pkgj that says "NoNpDrm no found games cannot be installed or played" Found the issue, you also have to install the NoPsmDrm a few lines down, after that the error went away for me
@@gonzokroman Once i installed the 2 no drm's he said to, and the other one a couple of lines further down the list NoPsmDrm by frangarcj v1.4 then i was able to get it to work like he did
Only thing I can't seem to do is get the SD memory card to work. Any chance you will make a new video on doing that. When I try and use a ftp it always disconnects for some reason and files get messed up.
Hey there, after I followed what you instructed. I'm stuck at (11:24). My henkaku & the rest of the programs all disappeared. I can't run anything even the content manager. Appreciate it if you could help me out on this matter.
This was a really helpful vid, but I suggest that you should create a discord for your community. So that if anyone has any queries they can reach you without fail or wait, and others that are knowledgeable on homebrew in the server. It'd be a great place for recommending games, and software for use on the Vita. Just a thought, hope you do make one.
Jordan Maus ok so I did his permanent mod video and the downgrading work but I didn’t use Enso because 1 week later home brew apps didn’t open like vita shell and hencore and would shut off the vita. But it still downgrades

But you can still get adrenaline, auto plugin, and PKGJ. If this doesn’t help go to r/VitaPiracy on reddit and some people will help you
I had the same problem. It keeps asking to update to do anything. I just stayed on the 3.73 version and continued with the install of PKGj and Adrenaline
You are the best. I watched your beginner Jailbreak video. Uploaded on Apr 20, 2020 then saw this video. Sucessfully downgraded to 3.68. I tried installing the shellbat plugin and adrenaline on 3.73 but both of them didn't work. After downgrading all them are working. Found that 3.73 is not the best version. 3.68 supports 100% 3.73 supports maybe 80% in the hacking scene.
I'm confused. So I followed your video on installing finalhe running my vita on 3.73, and now to get the other mods like pkg to work we need to downgrade firmware??
Mods like pkgj will work just fine on 3.73 but if you want permanent jailbreak (Enso) and adrenaline you have to downgrade, if you downgrade you will have to do a fresh install of the jailbreak for that version, for 3.60 you would also need to install something like reFOOD to force the vita to run newer games which should require a higher os version
heres a little tip for anyone struggling on the he encore crashing part if it crashes press on the app stay on it for a couple of seconds then load in and wait a couple of seconds then press yes
11:11 deleted everything.. trying to re-download h-encore but vita wants you to update firmware :( SOLVED: re-install H-encore and repeat from the beginning..it works!!! Thanks mate!
When I installed Modoru I was forced to delete my internal storage apps. It deleted Henkaku and now I think I have to reinstall everything. The downgrade worked, but it got rid of everything else with it.
@@gamebros8424 That's weird. I wish there was more direct support besides RU-vid and Reddit for dealing with these niche and particular issues. I have had so many small problems preventing my from completing certain things on the vita. It's rickety as it's built by one dude some of this software under no pay or comission.
@@glynkeegan306 i finally figured out how to hack the vita i had to watch someone else's video to figure it out though, i had to do it through an FTP connection

Hi, so i followed both your steps from your first video and now this one, however i am having an issue wherein pkgi, im getting "NoNpDrm not found, games cannot be installed or played" i double check again to makesure the plugin was installed in both location like you stated, but still getting this error message? also i tried adrenaline and it showed me i needed to update to the latest psp firmware, but then its telling me it cannot find the file and i should exit? any suggestions ? and im on firmware 3.68 thanks.
i found the answer further down in the comments: U have to get it in both ur0 and ux0 So i opened Autoplugin > Plugins for Vita > Install Plugins > L1 (to swap to ux0) > Installed both plugins again It reboot my Vita and that "NoNpDrm not found, games cannot be installed or played" no longer showed up and I was able to install the games

@@N54hvmm 3.68 has less copatability issues from what i have been told so that is what i am running on my psvita. I successfully installed a 1TB microsd card onto it to. I have all the Gameboy Advanced games ever made installed on my psvita. I am wanting to get the dreamcast emulator next for sonic adventure 2.

it happend to me because i had an unofficial sd card installed and downloaded the modoru on it. It worked when i changed the ux0 to be the official vita sd card ( u can do that using the autoplugin).
@@DJCoop1 Hi guys. I feel like I have the same problem. I downgraded, then it asked me if I wanted to transfer my data from the internal memory to external one. I said yes, then it asked me if I wanted to format my memory card which would need to update the firmware. I said no (because I didn't want to update the firmware to 3.7.3 again), and now I lost all my data and I don't have access to my memory card...please, tell me there is a way to get everything back...(I was almost done with my FFIX walkthrough, I hope I won't have to do it again...).

LOVE these videos. They've been a huge help! I've downgraded like you said, got an sd2vita (your 'corrupt file' video also came in handy!)and installed the apps. Quick question; do you recommend using AutoPlugin 2 at all? I got the update anyway, but should I just use the original version or will AP2 conflict with the downgraded firmware? @ryan mars Similar problem here. Mine is 'Loading 661.PBP... Cannot find ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/661.PBP, I ran one more time H.encore and still doesn't work. Any solutions please?
I also had this issue, so i reloaded the Adrenaline VPK and rebooted. Restarted Adrenaline and it gives the option to download the 6.61 firmware again. All is good now. I hope this is helpful.

Thanks to your tutorials I was FINALLY able to mod my PS Vita! Thank you! And on a side note since Adrenaline basicly makes the Vita run a PSP inside itself, does that mean that, at least theoretially, any psp mod stuff should run through that? Talk about a rabbit hole.
