Spongebob for Playstation? Yes there is this one game. It is Patrick's birthday, and SpongeBob wants to give him "the best present ever": a photo signed by his favorite superheroes, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. However, the heroes want nothing more than to get rid of SpongeBob, so they keep sending him to random tasks around Bikini Bottom.Finished the game with all bonus levels unlocked and bought all presents for Patrick. -

Wow this hurts man. I was in 1st grade playing this and remember every level and song. 20 years later I’m 26 realizing how time flew. It’s a weird joy and sadness when you think about the times you had little to no responsibilities during childhood.

Fun Fact: The Game Boy Advance version was in development longer than the PlayStation version. This version also had a LOT of early prototype builds, most of which I believe have been archived on RU-vid. I know both versions have prototypes, and I do believe this version had the most. Look them up. They actually are really interesting.

That second level in Sandy's tree house used to send me over the fucking edge when I was a kid. I remember throwing literal tantrums because I'd keep dying. That memory is what led me to this video actually, I wanted to see how many of the levels I remembered and if Sandy's tree house was actually hard. It is, in fact, not hard at all and I was just ass at the game lmao.

For a game like this, there would be no benefit in the better technology of the PS2, and you would be locking out a huge part of your demographic. You can still perfectly play PS1 on PS2, after all. Point is: which child loved SpongeBob AND owned a PS2 back in 2001?

Thq should've released the console version on PS2 because by the time THQ released on PS1 in America it was a year since the PS2 was released. Unless THQ didn't have the 128 Delevopers kit.

It amazes me how well this game got older, the designs look cool and is a good platform game , is good that they used things from the actual show to make Power Ups and Levels, that shows how the designers knew what they where doing The only downside that i saw even as a kid was THE BOSSES ARE TOO DAMN EASY, they dont have a real pattern or an special way to hurt them, is definetly the lowest point of the game just maybe on part with the "plot"

I played this on GBA as part of a 4 game combo game cartridge when I was young. It contained this game, a nicktoons "pokemon snap like" game, a fairly oddparents game, and a skateboarding game (forget which franchise though)

@@BooTeresa1006 It's not too different. I owned the GBA version as a kid, and from what I hear the controls are different compared to the PS1 version. It controls a lot stiffer, but it's managable. It also has a different heath system. You have a heath meter that you replenish with food instead of the spatulas serving as your heath like in Sonic.

There's an easter egg for the gba version, up in the tree, somewhere, there's a helmet hidden, which, just stops your water going down, meaning, you have infinite water and can finish the level without worrying about the water.

In the gba version, when you get hit you DON'T lose your spatulas. WHY COULDNT THEY FUCKING DO THAT HERE TOO?!

Gba version just switch from Ring system Sonic to Life meter for easier game. In there, spatula is just collectable

This game was one of my biggest disappoints. I beat it the same day I got it. I even reloaded my save to fight the last boss just to be sure I didn't miss anything. I was so fucking pissed.

This was my all time favorite game on the PlayStation!!!😍👏 (of course since I'm a Spongebob fanatic) This game is incredibly fun and simplest but yet challenging😏👌I beat this game more then once, I would just erase the file and start all over again, couldn't get enough of this game😁👅 I really miss this game!!!!😭😭 But my bro gave his ps1 away!!!😩😩 It's been about 8 years and I would still play it today!!💁
