It's so cool, one of the PS1-games that didn't have protection yet, since it was so early (Spyro the Dragon had). Also, notice how many of the tracks are just a specific amount of the letter 'f'? Always wondered why that was
@@ognjenmilanovic482 That can only happen if you try to play the data track on older players. Most CD players from now and even the mid-to late 90s had protection against this.

this was one of the few games that was impossible to beat for me. going through 6 stages is already an untimate challenge, and then i have to save every single electunes...
This is my childhood's game and one of my favourite/best games ever! It is also extremely challenging. I have played/finished only EU PC version, but there are some different levels, effects and soundtracks so looks like I will need to try the PS1 version also.
My first ever Rayman game and part of my RU-vid nickname. Got the game in 1997 during President's Day weekend at the 'ol Media Play (oh how I MISS that place...) with my allowance. Thanks to Rayman, it was where I learned of Ubisoft!
I sincerely hope they do not remaster. This game is perfect the way it is. Some games, like Biohazard, were trying to do something complex with graphics and benefit from an update., but Rayman is just a 2D platformer that looks great on the PSX as is. Besides, the newer Rayman entries are all very good and they play in HD as they should.
It wasent until the very end of the game that this guy lost one health . Other than that through out the whole game had this guy not taken one point of damage . Very impressive. 🔥🔥🔥💯👍
Oh man, So many memories of dying in the stages and bosses ( DEFINITELY bosses). Seeing him walk towards the game over sign, just looking at you hoping you go to continue.Lucky for him, I was determined to beat the game! =)
Really like how the lava room boss is just looking down on Rayman as he hangs from the ledge, like: "No, this is actually going to be a fair fight, mister". ^.^
Back when we were kids and we had hard ass games like this, abes odyssey, crash bandicoot, and medievil on ps1. todays kids have it easy. all todaya gamea are easy af.
The jump in difficulty with this game is never mentioned in ANY “what is the hardest game ever?” list! Why?! I mean, look at some of these I Wanna Be The Guy-esque, Kaizo Mario moments in here with the tiny platforms and the impossible to avoid hazard and enemy placement!! Now don’t get me wrong, this game is fantastic, looks wonderful, the music is awesome and Rayman is a cool little dude! I just think it deserves the “gets really hard really quick” moniker when being mentioned by anyone who has played it. Caddicarus did a video talking all about it, far better than I could ever mention here!

This game is exorbitant hard because you can only save after completing a whole level. And each level consists of up to six sections. I recommend playing with an emulator where you can save after each single section. And then it's still more than hard enough.
Not many people seem to know this: but a certain button makes rayman stick his tongue out and he scares off certain enemies. Btw, is the high pitched clearing of the throat rayman's voice? That's adorable.
Just curious, why didn't you try to get all the cages the first time through each level (at least in the levels it's possible)? That way you'd only have to go back to a few levels.
3 hours 46 minutes?! I'm pretty sure my bestie Hannah and I (back in '97/'98 when we were both, what? 11?) never got past getting the standard helicopter hair at 46 mins. So many hours and miles of untouched game. It's not wonder we no longer speak.
This game is hard I played it with no cheats And I only made it to the Art world In my experience with the game The artwork and soundtrack Stood out I manged to make a remix Of the main theme lol Just randomly started playing in my head
I think these games are very good for kids education. How else do learn puzzles, traps, distance, timing, mathematics and different cultures in juts a few minutes.
it was so fun and easy in the beginning then got hard as balls so hard to play, Ubisoft went from Rayman to Far Cry crazy to think how far they've come.
First Rayman is the best. Какие же крутецкие рисованные раньше игры, круто все: картинка, звук, антураж. Вспоминаю Lomax Adventure, тоже офигенная во всем. 3х мерный Рэйман уже не то, к слову во всем. Все конечно сугубо личное мнение.
Gran juego, una paleta de color agradable, pero el Rayman 2 ya es otra cosa manteniendo muy fresco al personaje su serie es divertida igual que Spyro que se ven suaves los personajes pero los juegos son muy sólidos y divertidos hasta el final.

I never finished this game. I always got to the part where this longplay is on half of the video and quit it.. It is to hard to play with such poor physics and high speed of the game..
