[PSX] Xenogears - Final Boss (Full Power) 

This is the one RPG i believe that truly needs and deserves a remake.

I remember getting this game by accident for Christmas when it came out. My Uncle bought me Brave Fencer Musashi, but my Mom had already bought it for me too. We went to Sears to exchange it for a different game, I saw the cover for Xenogears and thought it looked cool so I got it... The rest is history, one of my favorite games of all time!

I miss weltwall. Fei, Bart, Elly, The one they call I.D So many memorable characters and intense battles. Thankyou Xenogear for the memories. I still have it safely stored in my box of video games for PlayStation

omg i finished Xenogears back on my ps1 back in the 90s and watching this video brings back all the stress and anxiety of this epic boss fight. I remember only narrowing defeating him too and the immense relief I felt!

this is the best RPG. story was great, music was awesome, and you cared about the characters. the battle system was fun as hell too. imagine if they remade this... using the Fox Engine

Love the combat system of this game, especially the non-mech combat.

Final boss fights: Typical RPG: Dark lord... kinda Square Enix RPG's: Emo fallen Angels Other Typical RPG: Gods, like Zeus or somehting that they have invented Xenogears: GOD

i have bad time to defeat this boss on 1999 when no guide exist. By that time we have to discover everything by our self. Amazing game, also xenosaga!

The chanting in the background makes it feel like the world is cheering you on, that this time, you’re literally fighting for the world.

I gotta play it again...my memory sucks, it will be like unlocking my past, emotions, and memories with brothers and friends.

so it is possible to defeat Deus without destroying the four orbs... One of the greatest games ever...

The end of the day, the biggest boss fight was VS my PS1 itself, crashing every goddamn time.

Fei/Emeralda/Citan is easily the best endgame party IMO (no Elly made me sad, but oh well), so one doesn't really need to weaken Deus if your Gears are powerful enough... at least that's how I played it that many years ago.

I played this game for the first time recently. After beating the game, I got curious and tried fighting fully-powered Deus. Gave me the impression that fully-powered Deus was the closest this game had to a Superboss, so thanks for giving me a glimpse of what it's like to stand a chance.

She's basically Ellys replacement with better physical attack but her ether isn't bad either I'd give her power magic and the strong power output part from the lighthouse and let her go ham

This was the best game of my life

Even at full power Deus is very easy, you might lose 2 of your other characters but xenogears is practically untouchable. With an X-70 engine giving 8000 fuel, a frame HP 90% and a Z charger, you can quickly heal up 90% damage, then use it's innate 99% hyper chance to quickly get into hyper mode, then use charge twice to recover all the fuel. To ensure you don't get interrupted too often you can turn booster on (or just have Fei equipped with speed shoes), there should also be one more gear slot free, a magnetic coat should improve your response time ahead of Deus Edit: You can forgo the magnetic coat for another Z charger, which stacks with the previous one for a total of 1000 fuel per charge, or during hyper mode completely restore your fuel. Equip the holy pendant on Fei to also get 6 turns of hyper mode instead of 3, meaning you can use one turn to charge and the remaining 5 turns to attack, more than enough to give Deus a beatdown

Square should port this game to the switch and give it the ff7 treatment where you can turn on 3x speed

a xenogears remake would be definitely an instant buy. Damn. Imagine all those revamped graphics with that badass story.

Guess what square Enix is doing now? Making final Fantasy games w Arianna grande on the cover. Although the game looks really good it's just sad. Download it for free as an app. Xenogears still the best game ever.

First time I fought this guy, I thought he was the biggest asshole in any RPG I have ever played

thanks for beating this boss with his things up i killed off the mini bosses i supposed that's a challenge in of itself.

One of the easiest ways to beat him is to mega sup up CHU-CHU i mean soup him the fuck up, when you beef him up to his max potential he'll heal your gears for like 89000 with his forest dance, even if your gears are weak and have cruddy equipment, he'll heal you like nothing. You'll have to use big joes shop for this obviously to buy all his items and what not.

its like, if they could just remake the rpgs, without necessarily updating the graphics, but rather instead allowing us to skip the lengthy in-battle cinematics. would be much awesome i think.

If you put 2x 50% power modifiers on Xenogears with the most powerful engine (all available from lighthouse, but NOT cheap) You can make Fei's non-Hyperdrive/Combo, Normal 'square' attacks do 9999 dmg and there's almost a 0% miss rate. Also, if you buy a fuckload of 'Drive' you can buff CHU-CHU massively and make her do similar damage to Xenogears with the 2x power modifiers, and best engine. make sure you give her 'step shoes' or whatever they're called too, for half time in between turns. All characters should have them equipped, ideally.

Everytime i face Deus i like to take the four orbs first... Not because i'm a pussy or anything but more becuase i didn't knew you could battle him without defeating the orbs... I didn't knew i couldn't battle Deus without taking the orbs first until i saw this video.

great game. 2nd to the best for me(suikoden 2 is 1st for me)if you guyz miss this game then you can play it in your android phone some psx emulator and the game itself will solve the problem.

That second disk on this game sucked though, u could barely explore, they took u from point to point and finally when u got to final boss there wasnt crap to do

one of the weakest/easiest to beat boss in the game. Deus in Mahanon is much more difficult than this if you dont know tha trick. Best Game ever made! 😍
