I just found this RU-vid Channel. I really appreciate how you take the concepts and break them down in a way that is easier to understand and retain. Did you happen to make a video for each chapter of the OpenStax Psychology textbook? I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Thanks again for making these super helpful videos!!!!!
I'm so glad to hear that you find these videos useful! I have not created videos yet for ALL chapters in the OpenStax textbook, but that is a definite goal and is a work in progress! Please take a look at my playlists - there you will find my other OpenStax videos. Best wishes and happy studies!
I'm so happy I came across this channel. THANK YOU FOR CREATING THIS! So explanatory and clear. I can grasp easier and even take notes easily. I'm more confident about my course and hopefully I'd ace my exams. I'm really looking forward to learning more from this channel. Can you please recommend text books based on psychology courses?
Hello! I'm so very happy you found this channel and that you find it to be useful for your studies! I'm always very happy to help in any way I can! As far as textbooks are concerned, I recommend you look up the OpenStax resources (Yale University put them together); the online resources are free and the paper-format book is very inexpensive; check the website for more information. Additionally, I like the Macmillam textbooks and their LaunchPad online resources; these are not free, though. I hope this helps you with your Psychology journey!
I'm a lay person not going into the field as a profession or anything like that, but just wanted to check out the basics on psychology. This was very well done, thank you ! 👍

From Google: Each behavior or action consists of three parts: the antecedent, the behavior, and the consequence. Antecedents are events (internal or external) which trigger behaviors. ... Behaviors are anything a person does. ... Consequences are what occurs directly following a behavior. Hope this helps🙂
Can someone please identify a psychological condition where people confuse object's or thought association's for other similar object's or other similiar thought associations? For example.... [She confused the depth of the biological tree and it's root's for the depth of the root programming in her computer/file tree.] Another example would be...... [ The drill seargent called the soldier a DOG for such a long period of time during his training through auditory stimulation in camp, and through visual programming, that the soldier began to believe he was a DOG. The soldier returned home.....and every time his family yelled "Get over here you silly dog" to the family pet named Ceaser.. the soldier immeditately felt as though he was being commanded to do something or felt as though they were speaking directly to him.]
When we learn (become conditioned to) a stimulus, we might encounter other stimuli that share some similarity to the previous (conditioned) stimulus. As a result, we might engage in the process known as "generalization". Please research the "little Albert" experiment, in order to gain further insight. I hope this response was helpful 🙂
