Finally! That was the first interview I saw that actually got to show him more like a person. I mean, all the others are super short and are always asking PSY to do stupid things, instead of asking questions about him. It's nice to get know to his real name, his history and everything. He seems nice! :)

WOW! I agree with EVERYONE on here! Seacrest just earned some major respect for ACTUALLY asking about K-Pop & about Psy's life & meaning behind the song ! Not just.. "Show me the dance, show me the dance, show me the dance." or "Hahah this guy is a joke/hilarious" LOVE you man.

Thank you, Ryan Seacrest, for treating him with respect and showing genuine interest in him as a PERSON and a performer, not some joke of a dancer like some others seems to view him as in some *Ahem* other shows (I apologize for sounding hostile). And especially for trying to understand him and for not diminishing him for his imperfect english. He has a great funny personality along with talent that truly captures the audience. Did you see how much fun people were having at the today show in NY?

I've been listening to kpop for years now and I am happy to see it make it's way to the states because chances of a concert are higher now. I would like to see other bands like Bigbang, 2NE1, Super Junior, Shinee, ect. become big too. This song is awesome and hopefully it'll open up a door for other kpop singers/bands as well

Psy actually speaks in a quite groomed, funny and smart way in Korean conversations. It doesn't fully show in English conversations, but he still manages to be in control.

Scooter is Psy's manager for his schedules, meetings, concerts, etc. that take place in the US, while YG takes care of that same kind of stuff, but back in Korea. Psy's basically signed with them BOTH, only difference is that they're his managers for/in different places.

I used to not like Seacrest before this, but now I have complete respect for him. Thank you, Ryan Seacrest, for giving PSY a proper and respectful interview. All the other interviews I saw was just asking him about the dance and rudely interrupting him when he talks. I'm so glad he finally got a good interview. PSY오빠 화이팅~!!!

He deserve all his sucess. Psy is on the road for a long time, he is an artist and I'm glad that people from other countries are able and opened to his work. I'm from Brazil and here we are all sing Gangnam Style, and thats amazing because the language is totally diferent, the Korean culture is totally diferent, but still we can appreciate them and recognize a good entertainment.

Ryan's way awesome!! Keep it up and what a GREAT interview!! Way to make us proud by treating different cultures the way they deserve to be treated. PSY's English may be "broken," as a commenter pointed out, but his intellect definitely isn't, and I think this shows in the history behind "Gangnam Style" and how he satirizes it and everything. Not speaking English "fluently" is by no means a sign of someone's intelligence and I love how we can all seee and respect that. PSY's going faaaaar!

so I'm super happy that KPop is finally taking hold here in the US (and I don't have to get weird looks and comments from people when listening to it anymore hehe) but at the same time it just hit me that not only will KPop get more attention... so will Korea as a whole... and it will start to be much more competitive to study abroad there T_T (planning on it in 1 1/2 yrs)

I agree i know he is from korea but his voice isso relaxed and mature and as when he is performing out on stage it is all crazy and super cool when performing his songs i like his voce and his english is fantastic well done best wishes from your fan in the uk

I agree. Ryan is one of the only people who actually acknowledges the fact that Psy isn't some internet sensation and actually has a successful career. I'm glad the interview just wasn't about "Gangnam Style" because it gets old, he has many other great songs.

It is so true about the alcohol. I watch SK drama's all the time, and there is constant drinking of alcohol. The slightest thing goes wrong or a big decision needs to be made and the characters are in a bar or at noodle stand in a tent getting drunk. I do love Asian drama's though,they are a lot of fun and I don't mind the subtitles at all.

this is the second interview with psy that i had seen because other people only ask him to do the dance and ask a lot of questions about gangnam style and they don't ask any questions about his life or his music carrier .

I heard Gangnam Style on the radio this morning (I'm from Canada). I was like WTFFFF first Korean song ever to be played on a Canadian pop music FM radio station? I must be high, this is impossibru. But it happened cuz the guy sitting next to me was doing the dance by waving his hands around intensely and hit my head really hard. At that moment I realized that it was real. I've been listening for kpop for over 6 years now.

Gotta give props to Scooter Braun too. Even if you're not a Bieber fan, this guy rocks: "...I watched it and I wrote him back 'Find him.' And then he said 'Why?' and I said cuz I wanna sign him and he goes 'You're kidding? It's a K-pop artist and it's, you know, it's in Korean!' and I said 'Yeah, and when I was a kid I loved, you know, Snow - Informer and I didn't understand what he was saying either.'" WORD^ (Now if only we could get the rest of America to think this way).

This guy is amazingly talented - do you know how hard it is to sing and dance at the same time, especially with a dance like this? If you don't believe me, try it. When you're moving it's that much harder to control your breath and your tone. And he's not singing some auto tuned whatever either, he's basically singing a capella (the music has no melody, just beat) so if he messes up even slightly you can hear it.

let me explain korean age counting system. actually its pretty easy to understand. there're two things you need to know about it. number 1. age depends only on new year's day. number 2. when the baby is born, he or she is one year old. (counting fetus day as their first year)

I've read articles about this guy and he comes across as a very intelligent and thoughtful person. It's also quite refreshing how, if you look into the song, it's satirising the lives of the rich in Gangnam, an affluent part of Korea. I really liked how Seacrest interviewed him, in a respectful and considerate way instead of treating him as a freak act like he was in the Ellen Show. Luckily, Psy rose above it and was more personable than Simon Cowell and Britney.
