I couldn't find an version of this song that had all the talking in it, and in my opinion the talking is what makes it so great. So here's the complete version. Enjoy!
I love every little thing about psych. I miss it soooo much. From the extended or short theme song to the pineapples. Or Gus when he does that thing with his finger and nose when he wants to pick up a girl. “You heard about Pluto? Man that’s messed up.” Like if you get it
My favorites: Come on son I’ve heard it both ways *puts finger up* I’m proud of you You heard about Pluto? *argued whispers* Gus don’t be *insert anything*
@@JazzyUnderscoreTrumpeter yeah Lassie got so mad he removed the dislikes that no one would watch this video cuz they were too busy being mad about the dislikes it's an ingenious plan
I will always give usa (the channel) props for coming up with some of the best detective comedy shows. Psych and Monk were amazing. I love how their quirks set them apart from most of the other detective shows.
The thing i love about this show that its not just another show with and white lead and black or ugly side kick. Gus is equally important and impactful and also not kinda side kick. He doesn't just agree to everything Shawn says and stay in his shadow.
There's a town on the coast On the path of Father Serra Wealthy white guys in boats Call the U.S. Riviera With a dark, dirty secret Soon to be unfurled It's the murder capital of the world And this town needs a man Who can stop this reign of terror Catching bad guys like flies When he's given room for error. A man who sees clues Almost if they were alighting Gets accused to confess 'Cause his hair is so exciting And though his attire's informal His skills are paranormal La, la, la, la, la, la, la Hoo-dee-hoo Hoo-dee-hoo A cop I am not I'm just good at observation But with shortcuts And cons And the proper presentation They believe that I can Raise a finger to my head See the past, read a mind And can mingle with the dead And sure, my girl's deceived But that web's already weaved Woven? I loved "Psych", and thought that this musical episode was a smash hit -- but credit where credit is due. There would probably never have been a "Psych: The Musical" if there hadn't been a "Buffy: The Musical" twelve years earlier. A very different show, but just as good.
I was watching psych movie and thought it was ironic that Gus said Shawn is white privileged, but in real life James Roday is actually Mexican/Latino and had to change his name to get larger parts when he was younger. I love the show, but it's weird how race and stereotypes could be such a big thing even in the 90s. Actors generally take on the role of someone else. They don't play as themselves. The show is great and I love musicals. I feel like I know a lot of actors and movies, but this series has always brought out names of people that I had to look up. Shawn is the type of person I am, but he's much more knowledgeable and smarter. I don't think anyone could be like him in real life because he's the culmination of many different writers and their knowledge.
James Roday Rodriguez also plays a character in A Million Little Things his character Gary Mendes is so different from Shawn Spencer for one thing he's so much more responsible. Lol😂 (in final season) One-time James was asked which character would he most likely want to share a jail cell with he said not Shawn because Shawn would never stop talking. Lmao 🤣 Gary has a beard.
They actually said that in every single episode of Psych there's some sort of a pineapple in it whether it be a real pineapple or a fake one or some sort of a picture LOL I have yet to find them all

Partially, it’s one of those things where the singing parts don’t count but certain characters die in this and never show up afterwards. (Also it was aired out of order due to delays, by the time it aired Juliet knew the secret).
It’s canon. The events really happened but the reason it’s a musical is because Shawn and gus wrote a musical of what happened and tried to get z to do it. We saw that in the last scene. Also it takes place before jules finds out but after the third yin yang episode.
