You missed the fact that Morelull is actually shiny boosted from Field Research during this event! So be sure to do the field research, particularly the excellent throw one, to shiny hunt pretty easily!
Right? Like what did I miss? I was only gone for two months. July and August were just too hot in Florida this year. Besides Go Fest, a Comm Day and Mega Lucario Raid Day I sat the season out.
@@MrV902I’m in Florida too but still consistently been playing. Since it’s still summer I normally mostly play around/after sunset time of day since it’s wayyyy nicer for temps outside lol
Fun Fact: Morelull is said to also be Shiny boosted during the event also. Also Haterene is basically Gen 8's version of Gardivor. But worse. Gardivor is still the better Psychic/fairy type
The only thing I have that PokeDaxi doesn't have is 24 showcase wins

I am LACKING

I believe Mega Gardevoir is the only Mega to also cover some Fairy types from the event that don’t have the Psychic type, for extra candy on those as well
So about showcases - pretty much the only way to not get disappointed, is to snipe. That is, purposely drop a showcase loser, set your phone alarm for 7:56pm , and use it as a reminder to switch out your showcase pokemon to your highest scoring one. All you have to do is scroll to the very bottom of the Today tab to select the showcase you are in and switch your pokemon out.
Accidently sniped my friend by catching a teddy, and hitting nearest showcase. Switched in a slaking mindlessly. Got that first though. I want that pikachu. The community is growing around here, and it's great. Everyone should remember to also submit new stops.
I'm glad I had a showcase that was tucked away from the world that I could spam victories. Now that I have a Pika, I let the others win so they can get their Pika too.
20 x legend here. Hatterene will have play in UL. With power whip and dazzling gleam it is a huge core breaker to the Zygarde complete shadow feralgator core. It will have play.
I'm not so sure about that. You should use Psycho Cut for the fast move, since using Charm is braindead, which generates energy pretty fast but gives no fast move pressure. Meanwhile, you're taking super effective damage from Gatrs Shadow Claw, and Zygarde being a tank will easily take 1 Dazzling Gleam, in the mean time dealing neutral damage with Crunch and Earthquake. I'm not saying it'll be bad and that it's not worth using, I just don't see it shaking up the meta or anything.
No one said it is shaking up the meta. It’s a massive core breaker to zgc/gator. Granted that core has been featured in a lot of Yters like Henry and PK. I run ZGC/Gator and I’m at 2450 atm. It will be a core b
Aren't the stats, being so attack weighted, likely going to make this less true. I have to imagine there will be better choices that give more favorable stats with similar charged move options
Probably the best pokemon to mega evolve is Mega Gardevoir, since some pokemons are also fairy type, and covers most if not all spawns, similar to Mega Houndoom during that event we had last year I think revolving around dark and fire type pokemon
Man Niantic is slow! First they released Gen 8 starters after Gen 9 which was a while ago, they have not added Ash Greninja and some of the Mega Pokémon like Metagross don’t even have a Mega Evolution yet, and now the release Dynamax Pokémon and Pokemon like Charizard, LIKE WHERE’S THE GMAX FORM? Where’s the Leon undefeated champion vibes? Well but as Leon would say with a Charizard “LET’S HAVE A CHAMPION’S TIME!”
I just wanted to point out that the idea of target Gothita during the event because you're looking for a ditto doesn't really make sense. I've made this mistake in the past. When ditto spawns it's because a ditto is actually spawned and then the server selects which Pokémon it is disguised as. A ditto isn't spawned by having a Pokemon that can be a ditto disguise spawn and then having some chance that it is actually a ditto. So this increased rate of Gothitas will not increase the ditto rate. Instead it will just be dramatically more Gothitas that won't be a ditto in disguise. Effectively think of it as this: if you look at the normal Gothita spawn rate and create a ratio of that with the ditto spawn rate times the chance that ditto disguises itself as Gothita, that will give you the chance, outside of the event, that a Gothita you find will actually be a ditto disguised as Gothita. Now suppose that's a 1% chance, just randomly picked a number, and now during this event the Gothita spawn rate is 10x what it normally is. Now there are 10x as many Gothitas around but the same exact number of dittos that are disguised as Gothita. That means during the event the chance a Gothita you catch transforms into a ditto is now roughly 0.1% instead of 1%. This is because the ratio of Gothitas to dittos is much larger now. The event boosts Gothita, not ditto.
He never said it increases the ditto rate. However, during this event if you want a ditto the only spawn it can be is Gothita so you can effectively ignore other random pokemon and be sure to click Gothita if Ditto happens to be your goal.
@@Sphynx00 That's not true. The only event Pokemon that ditto can be is Gothorita. Ditto still has the same spawn rate as normal and can still be disguised as multiple Pokemon. Gothorita is actually the worst one to use to hunt for ditto during this event given the boosted rate. You're better off checking all of the Pokemon that can currently be ditto's disguise and looking out for those ones as the chance a Gothita you find will be a disguised ditto is much lower than those and than it normally would be.
@@Jmullin55goldens Dude you must be really thick. Gothita is the ONLY pokemon that can be Ditto during the event. I don't k ow why such simple information is so difficult for you.
@@Sphynx00 You're flat out wrong and showing how stubbornly stupid you are..... Ditto has a a variety of pokemon it can disguise as. This event does not change this. I literally caught a ditto in the last hour that was disguised as a Koffing. You're just wrong and make yourself sound stupider with each comment.

I have done the beldum dynamax raid today. Definitely not easy, I had to bring my buddy to do it fast. It's a 3star raid and not an easy dynamax raid as we had with wooloo or kanto starters.
*PSA* If you have any Galarian Slowpoke this is the time to evolve them into Galarian Slowking as you only need to catch 30 Psychic type mons to do so…
i just tried to attack a dynamax beldum with 2 players. it was impossible for me to dual it with all my dynamax mons fainting. go with > 2 players better 4 players fellas!
Maybe that has something to do with it. I would say it is easier for most people to power up and evolve the mons than finding three people to raid with
Not enough people are complaining about the shiny odds in dynamax raids, they should at minimum be 1/64. Right now we are raiding for a 1/216 chance for hundo and a 1/500 for a shiny
Being the downer here ;-) I maintain that Spacial Rend is a waste of stardust (and super candy), unless you experience limited mobility. There is no way you can win back the SD when you are able to play in a "normal" way, and I am pretty sure this is still valid with the x2 SD per catch. It can be interesting when you are searching for specific (rarer) Pokémon, but it can never be a way to GAIN stardust.
I agree, I think it can make sense during events like GoFest where it's more about shiny hunting, and especially if you're still looking for a specific 2 or 3 of the GoFest mons, because the focus is maximizing the number of encounters with those specific Pokemon because they have a boosted shiny rate during a limited window. But yes, using Spacial Rend to make back the dust makes very little sense, it's too expensive for that to work
It's worth it for: 1. GoFest for shiny hunting. 2. Catching hundos/rare Mons inside inaccessible areas. 3. Grinding a stardust boosted nest with a star piece, only recommend Audino nests though.
Are u gonna stack your morellul encounters and use a star piece during this event for the 2x stardust or wait for a 3x catch stardust event to catch them?
Hey if Hatterene can be used as a budget raid attacker, I’ll still take it. Raid attackers are what I’m aiming for since, as I’ve stated many a time, I don’t do pvp.
Ralts is going to be widely available during the event and Gardevoir is a better version of Hatterene (same moves and attack, but better bulk and a higher CP). Unlike Gardevoir though, Hatterene does have a G-Max form. So you should still collect candy for it while you can to prepare for its future addition to the game.
Honestly, I say don’t even bother with the moreluls. With the amount of time and resources you’re going to waste catching one, you could catch four or five other mon. Niantic seems to think it’s okay to put the catch rate so low that unless you golden raz and hit an excellent curve throw with an ultra, it’s probably going to break out. This is wrong. When you hit level forty, unless it’s a legendary, everything should take no more than three curves with regular balls. At that level, you should be beyond needing raz berries to catch anything below 1500cp.
Hi, can someone explain to me how the showcases work. I am a little confused because it's based on the biggest pokemon, like today its based on the biggest normal pokemon but the points are higher for my Jigglypuff than my Snorlax. Snorlax is huge. What are the parameters?
Anyone having problems with the dynomax raids and the gps glitching. It keeps kicking me when I’m like halfway done kind of a piss off considering how long it takes
I'm sorry, Arctozolt, Arctovish, Dracovish don't suitable to debut in Pokemon Go Christmas Event because all are fossil Pokemon even though they were Water and Ice type Pokemon. To make up this year tremendously tedious and boring Adventures event quartet fossil Pokemon in Generation 8 need to debut Dracozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish and Arctovish. Besides generation 8 rock type Pokemon Rolycoly, Carkol and Coaloassal need to debut.
can someone explain to me cuz i'm so confused but how come some launch pokemon are shiny locked? like I understand like the starters or legends but regular unpopular gen 8 mons are also getting (temp) shiny locked? what's the gain in doing this lol cuz 95% of poke players wouldn't give hattena a second glance
The vast majority of newly released mons are not shiny eligible. They are almost always unlocked as shiny eligible later on for an event or something else down the line.
@@omarsmith8934 you can mega evolve a dynamax pokemon. Never tried them in normal raids yet but I think they can be useful, you just can't dynamax them in normal raids
